As an original '60's hippie, I want to tell you that this was the most psychedelic album ever made, period. The songs are short because they were all possibly (hopefully by the band(s)) going to be released as singles on 45's and they had to fit into the AM radio matrix. Splash is the greatest song ever about love at first sight, reverberation likewise about a bad trip.

It was great fun seeing your reaction to this legend. I guess you know now about about the electric jug. The neo-psychedelic movement of today puts The Elevators on top. They were sad ly 50 years ahead of their time. This must really surprise you.

One of the best albums ever, 13th Floor is so fucking underrated, I seem to be only gen Z guy in my area who knows who they are. It’s a shame that such a legendary band got a bit lost in history. Btw, that weird percussive sound is a guy basically making sounds into a kettle. And I love it

Gotta LOVE that electric jug. Love these sounds! Congrats on being one of the coolest young well-versed in 60s rock dudes I've seen on youtube. The style is captivating and really takes you back to a time we won't get to experience, but can only feel through the music. Rock on, friend!

The Elevators are a trip. Debut is great but their second, Easter Everywhere, is even better IMHO. Roky Erickson's solo work is stunning. Highly recommended. The mystery sound is Tommy Hall playing the electric jug. Snakes in and out of the music as well as your mind.

Bro, looks like the audio around the first song is out:/ love the rest of the reaction, Thru the Rhythm has always been my favorite one as well. Part of the Splash 1 reminds me of one Velvet Underground's song, I believe sung by Nico. I can't figure out which one it is.

I suggest coming back to Bowie’s discography. Probably Hunky Dory would be the ideal record

I would love to, but sadly Bowie’s music contains some copyright policies so I won’t be able to upload anymore Bowie reactions on KZbin. However, I will be building a website soon for people to see my other reactions that have been blocked, including more Bowie. Stay tuned! Thanks for watching :)
