Because she grew up wealthy she prolly wasn’t told “No” a lot growing up, so when she’s told “No” NOW, she sees it as a challenge. The bigger the challenge, the greater the satisfaction maybe??? I mean she did go from stealing boyfriends to fiancés (big Sean cause him and Nya were engaged at the time) and now an actual married man who’s an even bigger challenge not just because he’s married but because he’s a father now too. Idk y Ethan was so stupid to literally give up his marriage, being a father to his son, fucked up his reputation. The title of this video is a little misleading. While I agree with this, I don’t feel that it touched on the actual psychology and was more opinionated. I believe Ari has no excuse to be doing the things she does, but you also should also be looking at her time on Nick. More people have been coming out about how traumatizing it was working with Dan. I do think that could have affected Ari a great amount. Like I said this is not justification of her actions. Her actions are still horrible! I’m just giving criticism on how this could go more psychologically in depth on why she could act the way she does. Just saying someone is insecure and using that as an excuse for everything is not actually analyzing anything. This feels like more of a ranting to your best friend about the girl you don’t like video than a psychological analysis on someone’s behavior.

I saw someone (maybe on Twitter?) say that for so long, Ariana was able to get away with bad behavior due to everyone still wanting to see her as the sugar-sweet Cat Valentine-esque character that she first entered the scene as. She had this kind of image that almost made people want to jump to protect her as if she were a child. Then the Ethan Slater thing happened and it was just such a distinctly adult controversy that people couldn't just keep pretending that she was some helpless little girl who didn't know better. Not to say that the sweet little girl image was entirely her fault (she didn't create Cat Valentine),but she definitely did seem to play into it when she knew It would help her.. I do kind of wish she had just stuck to being a broadway actor. She's incredibly talented but her lack of a sense of self and low self-esteem is SO toxic for both herself and others when she's surrounded by noting by yes men who worship your every word and action.
