I have learnt a lot from your videos. Simple straightforward and very relevant to S’pore’s home context. Keep it up 👍🏻👍🏻

Well done! This is more like a real-world situation where something doesn't shift as easily as expected. Most US 'How tos' are rehearsed beforehand- everything tends to be accessible and nuts and bolts yield easily. Our local handyman shows it like it is!!

Thank you for sharing. I manage to replace my sink tap finally. Have the same problem where the old tap screw was stuck, unable to remove. I use the wrench with a screwdriver just like u do and it works. Thanks again.👍🙏

Thanks very much for the very clear instructions and video. I finally managed to change my sink tap using your techniques ... I face a major issue though. I was not able to unscrew the old rusty hose. It was badly stuck. My mother suggested to oil it which I tried using wd40 with the straw like stick (not sure what is the name) and sprayed against the hose nut base. After few minutes, the nut turned effortlessly to my surprise. And all other steps went smoothly, thanks to your clear instructions 🙏

Wd40 works great as an anti seize! And I'm so proud of you that you were able to change your tap!

Thks a lot for tis video. Hope to see a video on cold water tap change to a 2 way hot n cold tap. Cheers ! 👍
@ThePunggolHandyMan2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Typically unless you have a hot water supply under the sink the only reason you would do so is for aesthetic reasons. However, as mentioned in the video, a hot cold tap requires a larger bore than the cold tap. And if you want to do that, you need to enlarge the hole on your sink.

well said and received, thank you

Replacing a hot/cold mixer with a cold water only may not as straight forward after all. For my case the cold water tap's bore is smaller and just fit the sink's hole. After some times of swinging the spout back and forth, water seep below at the base. Have to find a larger rubber washer to solve the problem. All thanks to plumber friend for the washer.

Hello, for such replacement, do u need to also wrap some white plastic tape at the joints?
@ThePunggolHandyMan2 жыл бұрын
White tape is generally not necessary. The washer will prevent any leaks. Applying too much Teflon tape may actually cause leaks instead. However, if you have a stubborn leak, a little tape may help
