The puppy burst into tears after being helped after days of being abandoned

We found Ferdo on the side of the road, it was cold then and there was a cardboard box nearby.
Seeing that the puppy was not well, we quickly took him to the veterinary hospital. There were many problems going on but thanks to his love and perseverance, we overcame them all.
His good future will begin with us.

My daughter found a dog someone had tied to a dumpster. She noticed him when she was on her way to the grocery store. When she was done with shopping and errands, she drove back by and he was still there. She loaded him up and he's been a blessing for the past 7 years.

Bless her heart. I also found my baby tied up in a parking lot. He is the sweetest little man and I can't imagine doing that to a dog. I am grateful every day that his previous owner left him there so that I could give him a real home and real love like he deserves. If you're thinking of abandoning your pet..please do so where someone can find him. There are many people like me who will give him a safe and living home if you are not able to.

@@carmengogeidnas9670 that is an excellent point. We all say when we bring that puppy or kitty home that we will never let them go.. but sometimes things in life happen that we cannot avoid. It is easy to tell the person losing their home that they must not move somewhere where they cannot take their four legged family member.. sometimes those places are impossible to find when in a financial bind.. the responsible person does their best to rehome or they take their baby to the shelter.. their baby deserves a shot at a good life .. but then, they are berated and belittled for giving their four legged up... makes no sense to me.

@@reikiwithcary2682 here you have to pay to give up your dog (100-125 euro). Of cours lots of people in trouble don't want to do that en let them go somewhere. The shelter opening-hours are not very convenient either. The other side is that in Holland they don't put animals down because of age or duration of stay. Just in case of serious aggression or pyshical suffering of the animal, which seldom happens.

I have a little terrier, not a rescue, she has a slight underbite but her top and bottom jaws are a bit misaligned as well which gives her a funny, cute lopsided look at times. But chewing hard biscuits can be difficult although they help to keep her teeth clean.

I rescued a baby kitten from outside my door at 2:00am just howling. We had two feet of snow on the ground that night!! 💔💔 It was heartbreaking!! That now grown cat is still with our family today, ten years later!! ❤️❤️

I rescued an old kitten/ young adult tom cat that was in my garden and calling me for help. It turned out his owner had been sent to prison and just left him to fend for himself, I suppose we should be grateful he at least didn't leave the poor fellow locked indoors. He was not in good shape, he had lost his coat and was nought but skin and bones. Over the next few months I fed him up, got him to the vets and made sure he had all his jabs and in that time what emerged was a really handsome long haired grey and black mini tiger, he got his confidence back(his doing not mine) and became a perfect affectionate family pet that never once showed me a claw(except when he got really comfy hehe) and cat that loves the outdoors as much as coming inside for some munchies and petting. After 6 months I found him a home with a neighbour down the road where he has been happy and healthy ever since. 15 years later he still considers my garden his(a real benefit as it deters all the other neighbourhood cats using my flower beds as latrines) and though out of respect for his family I leave him alone I keep an eye on him, He is still in perfect condition and doesn't look a day older than when I rehomed him. To me that was a perfect outcome as I was not at the time in a position to commit to a new mouth(I had also recently lost my 26 year old female to old age so also I really didn't want a cat at that time either) to feed so I'm just pleased he got a good life after the trauma he went through. It's an odd thing because he hadn't been seen out begging in the neighbourhood(we have a lot of gardens back to back with the houses surrounding them so there is a lot of hedges and places for a scared and abandoned cat to hide), somehow he knew to ask me for help, perhaps he somehow picked up that I was missing my old moggy and knew I couldn't just not help. I think animals are quite good at picking up on Human empathy especially intelligent species like cats and dogs.

I´ve been looking after my Dad for the past 3 years. And I feel so tired of people saying: "Why don´t you put him in some kind of a facility???". It is really tough, every day... But how could I? I start feeling like I am the one who is a mental case for doing that because a majority of people say that... It is annoying as hell. I believe I am the normal one. I can´t just leave him somewhere. He is a 2-4 year old child mentally... How could I put a little child in a home? Here. Stay here. With all these people you don´t know. I will come round, occasionally. Damn.

I think we also have to think of the possibility that something could’ve happened to his owners. I worry what would happen to my dogs or who would even go check on them should some thing happen to me. As owners it’s something that we don’t think about regularly, but we’ve got to have a support system in place just in case.

people quickly assume some human was cruel but often dogs get away and their owners can't locate them. They run away from a beach trip or camping trip or jump out of the car. It's not always some cruel careless owner. There was once a puppy that climbed into a car engine to get warm and then fell out many miles down the road where strangers rescued it from the middle of the road. I'm sure his family never knew what happened to him.

Since there was this cardboard box next to the dog, I gather the owner knew the dog was sick and aware that he/she had no resources to have him treated. So the dog was left in a cardboard box with the hope that someone will help the dog. In this case they were correct. I detect the Russian language, it seems Russia is not as policed and people are kinder than where. I live - Australia. Our local vet got into trouble for treating an injured dog that a kind soul found and brought to him for treatment. Then the owner was found and went ballistic, complained to the council etc. Now our vet won't treat an animal not brought in by the owner. The council is dealing with such incidents. .

Animal lovers should care for ALL animals, these non-human individuals, including those who live brutal short lives, suffering, until their terrified violent deaths at the slaughterhouse.
