This is true. But that is the reality of people - I am happy that not all people are like that. And that is why Lunita found her Forever Family, and got to live in peace and love for the rest of her life, and when she died, she was surrounded by true Love. Let's not dwell on her sad past... let's be happy for the wonderful years she had after that time!
@MrSpaceRatt3 жыл бұрын
@MUNIKA SHEORAN My question would be, what would Lunita want? One can ask the question, what would YOU want if you were in a wheel chair, on the verge of death, covered in a skin disease that brought you misery, but suddenly some people stepped forward to save you and bring you back to health, so you could leave for 10 years surrounded by people who truly loved you? Would you accept their love, or would you allow yourself to be put to sleep? Seeing the look of joy on Lunita's face tells me all I need to know.

The dog would be immediately put to sleep if she dropped it on a dog pound/shelter. Disabled dogs are too much work for the volunteer workers and hogged resourves. The former felt that the dog has a better chance being adopted by a random person than in dog shelters.

You never know what the circumstances are. Abandoning an animal is cruel and very sad, but looking at the items she was left with does say that her previous owner tried to take care of her, leaving a note with all her supplies says that they were at the very least hoping someone would take up the job. Many times especially if you're in a relationship or struggling financially you're pressured to let go of an animal, sometimes it needs to be quick and no time to find an actual shelter or rescue especially if say someone in the family threatened to end her life. A very neglectful owner would not have bothered with a wheel chair, diapers or even a shirt for their dog and just dumped a dog without anything. If you don't have any loving connection with an animal, its very unlikely you'd put human clothes on it.
@skittles33102 жыл бұрын
I am literally crying and I am so grateful for the people who showed this little angel love. She is great with my grandkids and my cats. So she will live the rest of her life knowing she is loved and wanted. What is wrong with people today. Put a dog down just because she is old. I will never forgive this woman. I say let’s put her down when she hits 50. It’s ok I ended up with the best dog ever.

The dog was not dumped like trash. She was left on the sidewalk with a note with all her information, diapers, and chained so she couldn't stray. Obviously somebody tried to take care of her and couldn't; maybe even the same person who called the facility to let them know she was there. Perhaps they were even watching and waiting until the facility picked her up.
@buttarain273 жыл бұрын
Nah, it's not as simple as that. The first family probably tried to take care of her but absolutely couldn't afford it (Argentina is not a rich country like the states). It's obvious from the wheelchair, the diapers (not cheap) and even put a sweater on her and a thin chain. Because Lunita's back legs were paralyzed, her muscles had atrophied, aside form that, she actually looked pretty healthy not like that one "family" in the states that had these people gather all that money and resources to ship her to the states only to ACTUALLY get abused in a matter of weeks to the point she got a staph infection. If anyone needs to suffer, it's THAT family.

People need to stop importing needy animals for a hobby. Shelters are filled to the max with animals in misery and these idiots think it's a good idea to get more. It can be extremely, extremely tough mentally, physically, and monetarily to care for a disabled pet. So while I can't fault those who gave up, I CAN fault them for leaving her out on the street. Folks, if you're unable to care for a pet, leaving them on some street corner isn't doing them any favors. Lunita eventually survived this and found a family that cared for her for the rest of her life, but nine times out of ten - most pets don't have such a happy ending. Take them to a no-kill animal shelter if at all possible. Do what you can to make sure that pet is able to live on without you. Your lack of desire, time, or money should not be their death sentence.

@@cocraine Didn't you watch the video??🙄
@cocraine3 жыл бұрын
@@Lxsgrl I did. If your referring to the dog getting left on the streets, the previous owner most likely didn’t have any malicious intent. You have to be aware that where the dog was found, was in a third world country and the owners were most likely struggling financially and couldn’t afford to take care of the disabled dog anymore. But them leaving a wheel chair (really expensive.), leaving the dogs name and birthday and giving the dog diapers to try and keep him clean clearly shows that they were trying and probably decided leaving him on the streets would be better. They probably hoped kind people would find the dog and give it a financially stable home - better then they could have provided. They even chained the dog to the sidewalk (most likely to prevent the dog from getting hit by a oncoming car. It looks like they tried their best to take care of the dog but unfortunately couldn’t anymore. Now before you come at me because they could have put the dog down - because that itself costs a lot of money + the vet fee or took the dog to a near-by shelter - they most likely didn’t have the resources to find where a shelter is located and where to go and there isn’t a 100% chance the shelter would be willing to take the dog in (especially since it was disabled and probably needed a lot of care that the shelter couldn’t have provided + there’s probably really less/ no shelters in their area.) There are so many possibilities and it’s just not fair for us to jump to conclusions on or blame the previous owner/ “people”

We made sure each one went to a good home. An were spayed & neutered. Now we get to pet set for the puppies if their family’s go on vacation. Unlike some of the comments here being a person who has experienced extreme poverty and seen it. I don't think at all the old owners or owner was a bad person for what they did. They were clearly taking good care of that dog up to that point it did not look dirty, it wasn't starving, it even had a diaper on along with a pack of diapers beside it, and a note with the dogs information. I feel that it is a very sad story behind the owner and why they left their dog they clearly cared for it to go to such lengths and putting the dog in a public place where it could be seen. They just couldn't take care of it anymore and I'm sure it pained them to leave it. Finacle troubles or maybe even something more serious or a combination of the 2. We know the dog is okay but I hope the owner is okay too.

It's good to hear that you managed to crawl your way out of the poverty you had to go through. I have never been poor myself but with some logical thinking anyone can see, she wasn't put there randomly. You wouldn't go to such lengths if you didn't want the best for your dog. The fact she was put in a place where a lot of people come means they wanted them to find her.

@@karinaortiz9928 Oh, I never said I approved of this either. I'm just talking about what I saw in the video. You know with a logical mind before emotion. Also not every country has shelters or very closeby ones. It's also a bit ignorant to think everyone has a phone by now either. Also I do remember that at the start of the video they found her in a street where many people came. So she was put in a public place so people could find her. I'm just saying that since we don't know the whole picture, we shouldn't judge too easily either. If they didn't want her to be found, they wouldn't have given her diapers nor tied a wheelchair to her, nor put her on the place she was found. Why do all that nonsense if you're just gonna abandon her anyway.
