I actually came here from that lol. I know that song very well. It's about a paratrooper dying. The original blood upon the risers is very good even it is just copied from Glory Glory Hallelujah ( Hymn of the Republic )

Cannon division didn’t create the song it’s just a cover. It was created during WW2 by paratroopers from the 82nd airborne and even then it’s a spin on an old civil war hymn. it’s still very common with the 82nd and many other units today.

The problem with this being a tv series imo is where they chose to release. The Purge is NOT meant to be a PG13 drama. This show could have worked so much better on Showtime or HBO. It needs an R ratings and I only watched the first season just to see how they would do it on USA and I ended hating most of the main characters because they were all idiots that kept making terrible choices. The movies were all solid B to B+ watches, the show was a D-. Only enjoyable because I like the concept, but how they did it was bad.
