Man, everybody has watched this movie and says it's a good movie but sometimes it feels like nobody has really watched it because how can you not cry as you watch this movie and relate to it. This is scene is the most powerful and important part of the movie in my opinion. I swear, everybody knows this scene and how true and deep the message is yet nobody FUCKING practices what this scene preaches. I swear, man, many people bash on a person's dreams or take them away because they never put themselves in their shoes. Sometimes, I feel people watch something and know something's true yet never actually understand it because they never practice or incorporate it into their own lives. Not until you devote yourself to your dream no matter will you realize the true meanings of this movie. You'll look at this movie in a different light. The Pursuit of Happyness isn't a huge obstacle you will overcome one day. The pursuit is everyday, everyday you have to be working on your dream despite what people say. FUCK PEOPLE this is your dream and you only got one shot. Another one of my favorite parts in the movie is when Will Smith says "It was right then that I started thinking about Thomas Jefferson on the Declaration of Independence and the part about our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And I remember thinking how did he know to put the pursuit part in there? That maybe happiness is something that we can only pursue and maybe we can actually never have it. No matter what. How did he know that?"

It was always a dream of mine to participate in a science project, but when I approached my teachers to enrol into it, they demotivated and told me that there is no way a kid like me can make it and that they won't let me participate. It had almost gotten to me, but my eyes are now open, I told them that I can if I want to if teachers (referring to them) actually try to provide students with appropriate information and not trash talk to them. I know it’s a movie but I always love when a parent talks with their child like an equal, has an “adult” conversation. after all of this years, now im finally understand what he says, im 6 yr old when this movie came out so i have no idea what he says,now im 22 i understand it now, wow😢 i wish my dad was still here, sometimes i feel like i want to give up,but then, when i think about my dad, he would be dissappointed if i did and i know if he can do better then i can do it too!😢❤ IF YOU WANT SOMETHING, GO GET IT!

I literally love this movie and this scene is so ironic in my life right now. Left full time employment to go to college and study a course that will allow me to go to university and study a nursing degree. The fact is the chances of me going to university is very little due to the amount of people applying for a nursing degree and it's safe to say that I secured my place to go to university and study my chosen degree to become a nurse. Many of you will ask why is this ironic in your life? A lot of people told me that I would never achieve anything in life, that I would never go to university or I will fail. I allowed so many people to tell me that so that I wouldnt go and follow my dreams and achieve it. If you want something, go get it!.

Same here I live in England and I’m in secondary school, I’m not doing so great in school but I am working hard to change my grades, I once told my friend I want to go Cambridge University (well now I would like to go to Oxford, same thing would happen if I told him I want to go to Oxford), ha you know he said that I wouldn’t make it all, I even had my maths teacher tell me that I’m the type of guy who will do something and say they tried their best, he said that in front of the whole class, my dad he is supportive and he’s a great dad, once he did say though fathers have sons to be proud of I don’t, I’m going to prove them wrong, prove them all and you like millions of others I shall take as an example of never giving up, thank you for sharing your story, God bless you🙏🙏.

@Erik Lundin You are on a two wheel vechile going around 35 miles per hour at least (on free/highways much more). If you got hit you wouldn't have the same protection that you would have in a truck or car, and as a result it would be super easy to get severely injured or die maybe. Plus they could be hard for some people to see as well.
