Captain Chris Williamson owns and runs Williamson Outfitters out of Eastpoint Florida. He is joined by his two sons, Captain Brice Williamson and Bear Williamson who all built a premier guide service for duck hunting, gator hunting, fishing, gigging, scalloping, and custom boat tours along Florida's Forgotten Coast.
On June 13th, 1998 Chris was fishing with his Dad and cousin when their boat capsized, and sent the three of them on a 3 day fight for survival in the gulf.
Today, Chris teaches his kids and his captains/guides the importance of safety, skill, and survival out on the water. On January 20th, 2024 his son, Captain Brice Williamson and Captain Clay Sorrell rescued two men off another capsized vessel during a duck hunting guide.

Wow this was an amazing story and so wild. The hat over his dad's face while he passed was hopefully the best option and was peaceful yet horrifying. Glad they are still on the water.

Dude this story legit brought me to tears... i cannot even imagine especially losing ur father and cousin like that in the middle of the gulf of mexico with legit nothing but your life vests... man so sad. Especially knowing the coast guards found the boat that next morning but the father and cousin couldnt swim strong enough to get back to the capsides boat and he made the decision to leave the boat to be with his father and cousin... legit nightmaire of events
