Today I take a short stroll across the open farmland from Ferring in West Sussex to the private estate in the west at Kingston Gorse to get down to the coast. I pass through a lovely old fashion farm with film and brick buildings that immediately takes me back to a former time. I hope you enjoy the walk.

That was tremenbous! I spent many happy hours as a kid playing under that bridge catching sticklebacks in the Rife, but I didn't venture further west. What a staggeringly beautiful timecapsule money can buy ...

Hi Richard. Great video, We now intend to do that lovely walk once we can visit England again, after the lockdown. My wife, who as a child lived in East Preston, did a paper round in Kingston Gorse and remembers that the affluent residents used to tip her very well at Christmas. Such happy memories, thank you.

Hi Richard. I’ve been watching your videos for quite some time now and I just want to say thank you for making them! I was quite surprised to see you in Kingston Gorse when I woke up this morning, what a superb video it is! I myself live in Kingston Lane just up the lane from the postbox in the video and often do this walk most days. It was great to see you discover it and film it for everyone! Keep up the good work!

Like you I have an interest in history, especially the very old houses, hundreds of years back, and wondering how people lived, what they ate, what type of clothes they wore. Have done some research on ladies clothes way back in time, like in the 1500's, 1600's when there was no zippers, or buttons, or button holes. I did find out, designed, and have sewn a skirt, the style going back that far. Except I used my sewing machine, cause that's lots of material. On the top, am adding satin for the elastic to go through,, but I think back in those days they used rope -- that elastic is Not historic. But is easier than tying rope around my own arm. .. It may be years before I and Britich friend can make it to England, and walk where you walk in those much historic housing areas dressed like back in the day. Then friend can video tape me in the dress of those times, with really historic houses as a back drop. Am truly looking for that. Have 2 outfits ready sewn up, and a skirt done of another outfit. Can't wait to do that.
