Fantastic fishing Billy! I`ve never seen Cod fishing like it, here in the in the Northeast of England it usually entails chucking out a large bait into a rough mid-winter sea and waiting around till a fish turns up. That way of catching Cod looks like fun plus being surrounded by terrific scenery. Please give us more! All the best Gordon.

Looks like the Westin Seatrout. There's a lot of lures made in Scandinavia specifically made for seatrout fishing. They cast a mile and swims shallow, since the seatrout patrols the shallow areas, and you need to cover a lot of ground to find the fish.

Hi, Billy. I hadn't see this one before, and I wanted to watch you take a nice coalie-which you did! Right now (early March0, I think you're in Japan, not catching much, and that brings up a question about your destinations: Have you ever considered going to places with warmer water and more "tropical" species? The Out Islands of the Bahamas are one of my favorites, but I would think for deep-water species that'll take the jigs you prefer to throw, spots like Australia and/or New Zealand might be worth a serious look. Hi Alvin. Thank you, much appreciated buddy. I love the walk on to the spots, Norway is so beautiful. As it goes with the waves, I think it is easier without the waves. The hard part is the water is some times, 40-50m deep. So the rod and reel are quite heavy. So landing them is the easy bit, getting them up is the problem.
