Excellent writing and acting to have the main villain honestly admit to being afraid and the delivery of that line "It takes a lot to scare me. I love the sensation." is just perfection.

For an overrated performance totally undeserved, Gene Hackman has the same approach to every Role he has ever played workman like Actor. Yeah, Herod knew if he gave Cort a full cylinder, he’d probably kill him, then enough of the riflemen to find cover, rearm, and finish off the rest. Cort got the 5 who weren’t killed in the clocktower and bar explosions in just under 8 seconds, and a chunk of that was PoV shift. Like how Herrod was giving orders for what happens if he’s not standing in the end.
