So since Cade ended with a "number of items used" stat of 33, it seems Jamboree counts both "turn start" item uses and item discards in the stat, but doesn't count mid-turn uses of Skeleton Key and Steamer Ticket. Weird. I think the hosts from MP4 are supposed to be the NPCs from MP2, not from 3, that's why Shy Guy has the jungle board, and is all about exploring ancient ruins, because he's the one from Mystery Land, and that board had a very similar theme to Jungle Jam, while the Goomba gets the casino because Goomba's role in 2 was managing the bets at battle minigames, so he's the money gamble guy of the group, and u can spot more references to 2 with Toad, who has Steamer from Western Land in his board, with Boo, who has ghost instruments like in Horror Land, and the Big Boo from that board also returns in Haunted Bash, and Koopa, who's board has the same gimmick of summoning a fish to cross from side to side like Pirate Land, and may also better explain his more tropical theme in 4, and the Koopa Kid that hosts Bowser's Gnarly Party may also be the same one that takes Toad's place when u unlock Bowser Land, and the green rim lights on metal paths that u see on all boards resemble Space Land's roads from 2
