Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I am 50+ years old and have always been a point and shoot very casual photographer. After my gkidd dropped my camera and damaged it, I decided to get a new one and purchased a Fujifilm X100F. I plan on finally learning about photography. Hubby has a DSLR and some pretty good skills at taking photos. It is natural for him and he, like many folks, just does not have teaching skills. So thanks for being out there to help folks like me. My main hobby is quilting. I like my quilts to tell a story. I hope I can develop photography skills that will do the same too.

If you aren’t teaching photography classes, you really should. Since I got my 80D a year ago, I have listed to many talk about ISO, shutter speed, and other basics. Yours is the most helpful of all of these. Thank you so much.

Hello Mr Jeong I've found your videos hugely informative. I don't think you've done anything on editing, post processing,, photoshop. Will you be doing anything about photoshop? From basic sliders adjustment of exposure, saturation et al to more progressive use of photoshop. If you are not going to do anything about photoshop, are there any videos that you can recommend? Many thanks Mr Mahandra Roopchan

I ended up buying my girl a Nikon 3500 kit. And I find myself using it much more than she does. I think I'll take your advice and buy me a really good camera body so I can keep learning but with better equipment.

I have watched so many photography videos the past three years, and none of them, and I mean this. You have a great way of communicating difficult things in a more manageable way. Also I want to learn all I can on this artform without biased opinion, just straight forward fact. Thank you so much for that.. By the way, on one of your Q&A's Someone asked you about any good books, here is another very good one, if not great, called. "Digital Photographers Handbook" by Author TOMANG..

Great video! Just a question, Where I can know what are all the full frame cameras of every brand? I'm really interested in this point as I'm willing to buy a camera soon and I want to take your advice and buy a full frame camera Thanks!
@HyunRalphJeong5 жыл бұрын
Hi and thanks for your comment. Camera names can be quite confusing and they usually do not explain the size of the sensor and you have to look them up individually. For Canon, you can look for 5D or 6D (there are different generations). For Nikon, D750 or D810, and for Sony, anything with "a7" at the front are full frame cameras. If your goal is to learn, it doesn't really matter what camera you get, but do some research on what lenses you might want to use and that will determine which brand you should go with. Hope this helps!

Buying a camera will not suddenly improve your photos by making you see things differently. Going into a 5star restaurant doesnt make you an instant food critique. Your way of seeing things is directly related to how your captured images look like…the quality. If you’ve never used a camera or never owned one, the most accurate CLUE lies inside your smartphone…those images inside are fully desciptive of your photographic prowess and accurately reveals how you see things. If the pics inside your smartphone are merely snapshots of no photographic substance, without anything impressive in terms of composition, then even if you rush out to buy a new A7IV with those over-priced Sony lenses or a new Leica, your photos would remain the same. A waste of money. If your wide-angle smartphone photos dont look even impressive, then suddenly aping the masses by buying a 50mm lens with a camera might even be worse, as the other focal lengths could be more “demanding”, although buying a camera sparks off more excitement. But excitement cannot improve your art of seeing things. Hence, many people who pay for an over-priced X100V end up with images that are very mundane, which could have been captured via any smartphone. When your smartphone photos start getting loads of oohs and ahhs from others..on social media etc, THEN….you can start planning to progress by spending lots of money on any real camera.
