Solid information! I take digestive enzymes (tested low), ox bile (no GB), and betaine HCL (years of PPIs for supposed reflux that now seems like a lie) and my digestion has been so noticeably better it's rather shocking. I would call it downright negligent that my doctors didn't put me on these supplements and I had to figure it out myself after years of suffering. I've been trying to do carnivore (the sugar struggle has been on and off) and I can say that has helped even further! For awhile there I thought I might even have gastroparesis, my symptoms were so overwhelming. Even my abdominal pain that I kept going to my primary and urgent care for (with no help on any occasion) is gone! No help from doctors but thanks to you and others like you there is an abundance of GOOD information now on the internet and we can learn to heal ourselves with your guidance. My new PCP I just tell her what I'm doing and she doesn't even argue with me, especially when I tell her how good my results have been!

Hi from NC on 5/3/23 ! Former PPI user from 2014. Had diarrhea for a week, Gastro Doc did upper Endo. Diagnosed GERD (even though had no complaint of GERD in a few years.) Said I had Barrett’s Esophagus. Left me on PPI for 4 years. Tried to get off of it, THEN I did have acid reflux. Used Aloe Vera Gel, DGL (diglicerized licorice). Now use Braggs apple Cider vinegar in water with lemon before meals.

If food causes a problem then omit it, My experience is that gluten definitely causes the issue, so does sugar and processed foods, it all calms down after eating raw green leafy veg, especially a good handful of spinach, I guess it adjusts the acid balance.
