Firstly Dan, many thanks for the very kind shout-out. I was watching with the missus and grinning like a Cheshire cat 😸 . You got splendid conditions and picked a fine pitch on Fell Head. You illustrated the wonders of the Howgills beautifully. Best wishes, Chris.

Thanks Chris. Famous at last! It is a cracking route. How tough did you find the climb up Black Force? i kept thinking I didn't take your line, as it seemed bloody tough. Cautley Spout, Bowderdale and The Calf feature in the next video as I went back a couple of weeks later. ATB and thanks for watching.

@danexitsstreetview3273 Yep, bloody tough mate going up BF. The route also features in Wainwright's guide to the Howgills. You are certainly getting about mate. 😎

Didn't know that about Wainright's guide. I am getting about and making the most of any free time i get tbh. Lakes next week for the teacher half term.

Fantastic time out Dan. I've looked at these fells repeatedly too - they are impressive. And yeah Chris knows these and others very well - a very decent man and youtuber. Gotta say well done on ascending that Gill. It was a great waterfall but even greater climb. Love to put one foot in front of the other. Good to get to the highest point and eventually pitch. You had the conditions for an awesome camp - I too like the mist and clag. It's a dimensional shift. Re-the cords - tie each in a figure 8 loosely - prevent the tangle. Well, good going. All the best. Mark

Thanks for the kind words and words of wisdom too Mark. Shall certainly try that trick with the ropes in the future.

Another great video Dan! A lovely part of the world & the waterfall was beautiful…..I admire the passion you have for the outdoors, and always look forward to seeing you next adventure! Have you thought about a wireless mic setup? I use a Hollyland mic which comes with its own charger so you can constantly top up the battery whilst you’re walking. Would last you all weekend for sure. The wind mic is a game changer. Anyway, a great Sunday evening viewing mate. All the best, Marcus

Thanks Marcus. I keep having friends telling me I need to sort the mic and will at some point. Thanks for the kind words and watching. Cautley Spout features in the next video.
