If the Standard Islamic Narrative, which Jay does not believe is true, was true, then Allah was originally the leading god of the Kaaba pantheon - Allah is short it would appear for TheGod, i.e the leading god, worshiped by Mohammed's pagan father Abdullah and his tribe the Quraish, who were also worshipers of the daughters of Allah - Allat, Uzzah and Manat. So really if truly trying to reestablish monotheistic worship, he should use the proper name of God - Yahweh, or as revealed more fully, the Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. But then that would mean Qutham would be held accountable for mismatches with the Bible, of which the Quran is filled, due to use of odd non-canonical sources.

The Hebrew uses the word "echad" for one, which does not mean indivisible one, which is a different word. The author of the Quran used a cognate word ahad to describe Allah in surah 112, although in Arabic ahad means "one of". But then the Quran is inconsistent, because it seems to have taken from many different sources, and did not fully alter them to fit later Islamic theology. It must have come from some very uneducated person or persons, who did not think things through properly.
