Old Bibles and church hymnals are two of my favorite things to look for at garage sales. I found $100 inside a Bible once, and when I went back to return it to the seller, she broke down and cried. A few days later, she showed up at my job, (we had chatted about my job at a business down the street) with a home made three layer chocolate cake! It was delicious, my reward for doing the right thing... 🌴👵🌴

Geoff Ogilvy won the Tournament in 2006. He is Australian from Melbourne. He was good friends with my husband while we lived in Melbourne for 3 years in 1998-2001. He used to come over to our house and play Pictionary. He was very young back then, around 19. He ended up moving to the US and lived most of the time in Scottsdale. AZ and my husband spent many years playing golf with him, attending his pro tournaments and many dinners and good times.

All uou gotta do with that Griswold is soak it in 30% vinegar overnight, scour it then season it. I know it some work. What I do is gather up a pile of rusty but good items. Then do them all at once so its more efficient.

Vinegar only cleans the rust. It will not remove the organic matter. You need lye such as Easy Off to clean organic matter which is what that black build-up was.

Enjoyed the video. Hopefully this spring around where we live they will have some yard sales. Last year we went to a church rummage sale and scored some great stuff. Especially for our flea market booths. I never thought thrifting and yard sales and everything in between would be so much fun! I think its something about getting out and meeting new people and like I said in the last video the wheeling and dealing! Right now it's how I make a living! Anyways keep it up! We're basically the same age and we had a few computers in elementary (Oregon Trail anyone?), learned typing on Commodores in middle school, and had a computer lab full of Macs in high school. We got our first home computer when I was maybe in high school (Hewlett Packard). You were in CA and I was in OR. How interesting our different experiences!

Since sears went bankrupt and is no longer there’s plenty of people who still want sears items, my sister worked for sears for over 25 years then finally retired she became a assistant store manager, my wife also worked at sears for many years as well, but now she’s in the medical field, but she also was a assatire manager, I have so many cool old vintage sears items, my wife would bring home I have some old vintage sears catalogs still brand new in shrink wrap, from the manufacture, there catalogs from when you could actually buy a house from sears it was a kit back in the day super interesting and like I said there brand new never opened.
