@3:30 Racing TV Mullins - Reflections video. W.M. says the ground was too fast ( yielding ) for G. Warrior. He won @ Cheltenham last year, on soft ground. I thought, yielding and soft, were more or less, the same

Hugh, You were spot on with your comments on Solness. The sport of racing i.e. Trainers and jockeys and majority of the media are oblivious to the fact that without gambling this sport is dead. Regardless of who won the race the jockeys behind did not give their horses a chance of obtaining their best possible finishing position. I'd no bet so not pocket talk but it was poor riding and it needs to be said on the coverage. Other sports call out when their stars have f*cked up and why can't racing do the same especially when the majority of the viewers are financially invested in the outcome of the result.

Rest of the field just couldn’t go with Solness . garlic Bread was out on his feet and jumping right again, he’s got no chance in the CC, going at pace he will be in the Car Park at the top of Hill , enjoying a Carrot with Asterion Forlonge , who’s still there from about 4 years ago😉

Pre Cheltenham ticket sales down. Apart from the dust up in the Arkle - Sir Gino Vs Maj, there are not many match ups over the 4 days, that sets the pulse racing. The xmas hurdle proved, when the best take on the best, racing fans are up for it.

Danny blew the sectional timing.Thay race will leave a mark on both the 1st and second .l will stay away from those two for Cheltenham . Danny went helter skelter on Lossiemouth, the fall might be a blessing in disguise as it would have been a grueller.

Most sports folk - non racing - will never have heard of it, getting a bit of credit in Ireland now maybe but UK racing folk are hardly holding their breath to see it and in the UK it would be miles behind Constitution Hill.

@@gurney2931 It's these French names that annoy me. Best Mate was known outside of racing, in part, because he had a great name. Galopin Des Champ means SFA as a name to most people. Ex-French horses should be allowed to be renamed as long as they haven't run on the Flat or outside of France.

Same with some of the similarly named Arab horses on the flat, I find it hard to differentiate between horses at times but I guess folk will say he who pays the piper calls the tune and they can name them whatever they like. I'm with you all the way regarding changing their names should they come to start racing in the UK and/or Ireland.
