I am absolutely convinced that, if we see another Raconteurs album (let's hope), they are going to explore a deeper Rock/Americana/Bluegrass sound. This album was not just one of the best albums of the year, but was one of the most solid rock albums in the history of the music.
@Killingzebill133 жыл бұрын
Not really 😂. Not Bad but not great. What do you think about the last one ?
@phillipnicewaner44803 жыл бұрын
Nah, it was a great album. Heavy Blues and Folk elements (the heart of good Rock) with the modern Rock sound. The last one was okay at best. I was convinced this was going to be the direction of musical exploration. I hope they dive deeper into this sound.

@@phillipnicewaner4480 In think my bad english doesn't help. My favorite is the first, I love the second too but I think the fird is OK but not as good as the two first one. My favorite record of Jack white in a band is probably the first of the dead weather. This record kick ass
@phillipnicewaner44803 жыл бұрын
I didn't particularly like The Dead Weather and most of the White Stripes' music was just okay with a couple handfuls of great songs. The second Raconteurs' album captured everything that made Rock music great in the 70s that slowly disappeared in the 80s.

Brendon's role in the group stands out more as I continue to explore their material. His voice pair so well with Jack's. The bassist is Jack Lawrence. He seems quiet, or at least reserved, but his grooves work so well in this song. The drummer is Patrick Keeler , always keeping a steady but creative beat.

Ok, so I am a huge Jack fan, and all he has touched. I admit that I haven't obsessed over every video he has done, though. I am also a tarot reader. So as I am watching, and they slowly reveal the blindfolded woman, and her hands start to move across her corset, I sort of thought I knew what we were headed for, so-to-speak - and when the tarot card of the hanged man manifested itself before my eyes I literally gasped. I was really taken aback! I don't know how many mystical symbols (cont'd)

I wasn't aware of this song until I heard the version they made with Ashley Monroe and Ricky Skaggs. Then I went back and listened to the original. It's an apples-to-oranges comparison, and frankly I don't think it's worthwhile to say which version is "better". They are two different takes on an excellent song, and I love both. I'm glad that these four have a space to explore this kind of sound.

Old Enough The Raconteurs You look pretty in your fancy dress But I detect unhappiness You never speak so I have to guess You're not free There, maybe when you're old enough You'll realize you're not so tough And some days the seas get rough And you'll see You're too young to have it figured out You think you know what you're talking about You think it will all work itself out But we'll see When I was young I thought I knew You probably think you know too Do you? Well do you? I was naive just like you I thought I knew exactly what I wanted to do Well, what's you gonna do? And how have you gotten by so far Without having a visible scar? No one knows who you really are They can't see What's you gonna do (what's you gonna do) What's you gonna do now What's you gonna do (what's you gonna do) What's you gonna do now What's you gonna do (what's you gonna do) What's you gonna do now What's you gonna do (what's you gonna do) What's you gonna do now What's you gonna do now The only way you'll ever learn a thing Is to admit that you know absolutely nothing Oh nothing Think about this carefully You might not get another chance to speak freely Oh freely Maybe when you're old enough Maybe when you're old enough Maybe when you're old enough You're not free You're not free
