I agree the guy who runs my local chippie says he delibrately doesn't offer a vast selection of other food. He says it should be all about his fish n chips and it shows as they are really good.

Don't be sorry for giving it a 1/10. There's far too many shitty places like this, and they deserve to be exposed. White anemic chips, horrible oil taste and fish that looks like it's been sat there for a week. I don't know how they have the nerve to sell it to be honest. It most definitely is not a one off.

Black country museum in Dudley has the best fish and chips. They cook them like how they did in Victorian times using beef dripping. You need to try it.

Passed it before a few times. Definitely does not look appealing. If I was to recommend a better place it would be bedders in small health. Also some places to consider if you are still in the area - bonehead for fried chicken, roscoes..literally anything on the menu, shankar sweet centre for the best samosas.

Take this from a UK fisherman.. That's probably frozen at sea shit and has been froze solid for 10 day's in the hold of a boat.. Chippy's but this as its cheaper.. As fresh stuff is very expensive!! There's your answer!

That looked vile. Soggy chips and dried out under heat lamp fish with a batter that looked like a wet slipper. And the scallop looked rank as well. Everything should be cooked fresh to order. I would have walked in seen the pile up of food and walked straight back out lol. #FreeBritney

totally agree with you it looked absolutely rank and the haddock looked off with the hint of yellow to it definitely not fresh and the batter was flat over mixed and i guess it was cooked in vegetable oil making it taste even worse

They didn't used to sell kebabs in a traditional fish and chip shop. Hence it isn't "Old School". They only sold fish and chips wrapped in newspaper. They didn't use vinegar but it was called unbrewed condiment. Interested in history. Much of which we are losing.

I went to this fish bar about 15 years ago and for the price I assumed when I ordered the chicken nuggets that was frozen not even made in site I would get chips but no I hadto complain about it an threaten not to pay saying what you gonna do the money's in my pocket an it ain't going anywhere for that mate... he gave me a small portion of chips and told me not to come back I said no worries and I haven't been back because it is terrible there...
