Love Fred Dinenage narration and presentation. Also David Wilson’s analysis are fantastic and so informative and makes it easy to understand. These shows are the best. No over drama and silly loud music … great show

I agree. The only thing I would change is the visual introduction. It is too flashy and graphic for people with PTSD and seizure disorders.

Just based on the description of him as a child and his early working life I'd hazard a guess that he had ADHD, it was known but by no means commonly recognized or diagnosed at the time. While it does not in any way excuse his turning to crime it may offer some insight into his behavior's and resulting criticisms he would have been faced with as an adolescent which could have caused mounting frustration leading to the decision to turn to crime.

Some people have what’s known as ‘Blackouts’, still getting out and about but unaware of what they’ve done. I think it’s not common.
@pkspalding

Generally true. But there are 'blackout' drinkers, as someone notes here. What is more significant with alcohol is that one's inhibitions are greatly diminished. Criminally speaking, this can be dangerous.

This channel is great. I'm American, and have never heard of many of these villains. On the other hand, it's disturbing just how many I have heard of, from Jack the Ripper to Christie to Myra Hindley and her partner in murder. And the host/narrator is very good.

Armchair Detective- I know- But it seems to me that the most likely trigger is not being able to perform with that first sex worker. He's obviously a sexual sadist- but it's fully possible that that first night, he wasn't able to perform- and without meaning to, someone said something that got in his head. Being too anxious about being unable to perform can make it even more difficult to overcome- and if he was feeling paranoid, or one of the women sneered at him slightly, it's possible he got it in his head to punish them for it. And then every time he couldn't perform, he killed, and then he found he liked killing. That's my thought anyways. Just- Since we know he's a sexual sadist, and we know he was unable to perform that first night.

A woman who's actually waiting for a date to arrive and Cummins chats her up and convinces her to leave and go across the way to the Trocodiro for a drink with him. Once at the Trocodiro the airman propositioned Mary Haywood and offered her money for favours. She was incensed but clearly impressed by his money. Which means even after 80 years women still have the same traits, they all have their price.

Can't wait until these get to the point where they realize they don't need a 5 minute review of what they just said because they aren't required to squeeze in commercial breaks by padding these shows to an hour on streaming.
