It might be nice for the pup to have her own place to lie down inside that’s just a folded blanket or carpet scrap. Doesn’t have to be an expensive dog bed. Redirect her from your bed to her new soft spot. Your training is paying off, good job!

Oh, I am living vicariously right now. I have had a terrible time learning how to cook for a long time, and to see what wonderful bread you are having, I am just thinking of how good it must be. The rain is hard to live with, and we have it all year around here, with the heaviest of it right now. I've lived in it for years and I would never survive if I didn't think of the positive traits it has. Some people in my county are still cleaning up from the torrential rains which brought flooding, so it can be overwhelming some times. Love the patches and you've given me an idea of maybe making my own personal patch. That would be fun.

I felt so nostalgic watching you hang out your laundry. I used to live in the tropics and during rainy season I just got used to slightly damp mildewy clothes, nothing ever had time to dry properly!:) ironing helps on the underwear though! Weird but true!

It looked like a lovely feast! I totally get the laundry situation. I live in an apartment and felt the need to get a washing machine when the pandemic made going to laundry mats dicey. However, I don't have dryer and it does take forever for things to dry when the weather is overcast or cold.

Thank god all is well sweet family! We were keeping you in our hearts and prayed that your area stays safe and sound🌤🌤🌤 The weather here has been funny too- we had 27 Celsius on Friday, felt like summer. Luckily no bad tornadoes hit Oklahoma this time but my friends in KY and AR suffered 🌪🌪🌪 major ones. Dana I tried the hanger wreath it is not supportive either as I tried making one couple of years ago just FYI. I think yours turned out beautiful and I have a feeling the green will last longer than you think. I loved how the sourdough bread turned Lou yesss, I am still struggling with a starter so I am not attempting one yet. Not sure how to make one as I start and it all smells like acetone most times so I just make white bread instead. Any advice will help so much! Dana I love the bump too! Not sure if on your list but please if you can, make a pregnancy video, youga foods to eat, also supplements that you take, that will be so mu help to me as we are also trying. I lost my mom 17 yrs ago and it will be hard to pick the phone and call anyone for advice, sorry I am opening up on this matter but I feel you all close enough to do so! My 3 close friends - each in different part of the world now are expecting in 2022 all of them girls, what a joy that is. Any how, this week I will surprise some students at work for Christmas, as they are foreign as well and will not be able to spend time with their families. So I am stepping out to bake some cookies and prepare small gifts for them. Me and Stan are wishing you a beautiful week, and looking forward to the next video! Love from Oklahoma!!!

Beautiful video as always, and I appreciated your important framing about how quickly we can adapt the formerly unprecedented to a new normal. It got me thinking that I’ve been watching your channel for years, and I’m not sure I’ve heard you guys explicitly talk about climate change and impending climate chaos / crises. As the mother of a 6 year old, this reality orients pretty much all my thinking / activism / planning and anticipation. Your lifestyle is clearly geared towards a very light personal footprint, and ability to live without some of the systems that will collapse - but also it seems so clear that without systemic collective action and organizing to demand that larger systems and powers that be (government, corporations) respond to, and plan for, climate realities - we will be facing massive suffering, especially among the formerly colonized parts of the world. And facing a time too when the window to ameliorate what we’re walking into - will it be 1.5 degrees? 3? 4? Is fast shifting, and we will have to answer to the next generation for what we did and didn’t do during this time - this is what I think about day in, day out as a parent. I've found a lot of grounding through connecting with folks like Sunrise Movement, Power Shift Network, Extinction Rebellion, Corporate Accountability, Mothers Out Front, and local networks for food, water, and energy justice and security. Would love in a video to hear how you and Lou are thinking about this, especially as you prepare to bring a new person into this world. It’s wonderful that you are setting yourself up for off the grid self sufficiency - are you also connecting to collective action and anticipation around climate? How are you thinking about all this stuff? Lots of love and appreciation for you guys.

@earthangel87303 жыл бұрын
Interesting way to pose a question. Not. Do you think Lou is 8 and can't take care of himself? Is he complaining? Is he stiff and limping around? No! I have serious arthritis and avoiding wheat did NOTHING to alleviate it. You do you and let Lou do Lou. He's a big boy.

@Earth Angel Aren’t you precious?? 😒 wheat bothers some arthritic people. I don’t know if he isn’t one of them, if small amounts are tolerable or if the fermentation process involved with making sour dough bread perhaps makes a difference. Having enjoyed their journey from the start, years ago, and watching Lou thrive and struggle along the way, I was curious. I also have chronic pain and ask questions to understand. Go troll someone else 🥰
@sweetpea55393 жыл бұрын
Super interesting!! I know some people tolerate European wheat strains better than American strains. Others find it’s not bothersome. I’m interested to understand from Lou’s perspective, which was why I asked. I too have chronic pain and learning from others can help build a broader picture for health. Thanks!!

Put something on your bed to discouraged the pup. Some of that chicken wire perhaps. After a couple weeks the pup will associate the bed with the wire and stay off. Also... consider raising the bed off the floor. Why breathe all that floor debris? A simple platform at least 24 inches or more would be more enjoyable and healthy and provide lots of storage space underneath. You definitely don't want a baby on a low bed like that.
