Well now that the rake was in the car maybe dont hide in the car.

Ok so if this happened to me in real life. 1. I would shut off the car. 2. I would open the trunk and go in it and close the trunk. In my car you can open the trunk from the inside. You dont need to open the seat to get out. 3. I would wait till day and when it is day I would get the hell outta there.
