Haven't played much over the past week waiting on multiclassing in dark and darker to go away and then when it did go away I didn't wanna play anyways lol. Game is lacking right now and there's better stuff to play with the free time. Longsword final boss shows up, murders the entire lobby, and gives two new players a comprehensive ice caves tutorial. absolutely incredible You, sparky, and yami are the 3 content creators that remind me why i like this game. Certainly don’t enjoy it all the time, PVP in normals is about the most fun i’ve had in a long while. ran into you about a month ago before multiclassing, and unfortunately it was the one time i had bardiche on my fighter instead of longsword lmao. my swing bounced off a chunk of an elevator BEHIND ME and i got mopped. i’ve vowed to run longsword and only longsword on warlock just to make it harder on myself, all in the hopes of finding maximustimmicus

You are by far one of the best dark and darker players because of this type of stuff, totally agree with what you said about the game, was demigod last season when things weren't totally messed up and this season most balanced fights/ fun to have has been in normal lobbies. They do not have proper match making for ranked at all. The game became a ranged throwable meta which takes away from a medival style game. Hoping to cross longswords with you in the dungeon one of these days. Keep up the great content

It's true that the game feels like a Battle Royale, I'm one of those people who play more normals than HR and when I play HR is just a running and hiding game. Otherwise I will just get run down by some player with Godlike Gear, man its so annoying and not fun to play.

Love how the vid started with oggie being super annoyed and down. Then it went to being an absolute vibe. Just got back into the game because of your video's after not touching Dark and Darker in awhile. I've play 4 matches since getting back into the game. Extracted in all of them. finally weaponsmith had longswords for sale and I just bought 30+ of em. I'm ready for some gaming. good luck in the dungeon longsword bros.

yo once you finish the blacksmith quest, turn in blues. Your squire should have the longsword so you dont need to buy it

I would prefer the normals BR game system than the more extraction gear based gameplay, at the end of the day the gear disparity is just not fun, but the pvp is, so of course people will want to play normals more. The problem is that the gear not being used after extracting with it means you have no real progress. I’m not sure what they should do apart from squishing gear and buffs

I thought their original 3 tier system for gbmm would help with normals -> hr progression but they walked that back immediately

Oggieson, can you please upload us a rant or something about your thoughts and ideas regarding current Dark and Darker? You mentioned BR couple times, which is something I really don't want to see in Dark and Darker. The game supposed to be PvPvE extraction RPG game, now I feel like the ice map is the only map showing that genre. I understand the whole zone closing stuff is something to keep players busy, but it shouldn't be the long term solution. Please let us and Ironmace know what you feel and you would add/remove/change, thanks!

I don't think DaD is going to die by any means, i think the hype has died a bit because the only reason people itched for this game so hard is because of all the playtest hype. It's not a bad game by any means, but i think the game needs a lot more time in the oven before the gameplay loop is more replayable and enjoyable

The trios gameplay is far better than solos/duos and I think that's where I've fallen into a bad opinion on the game at. Playing solo sucks lol. The game is a lot more fun playing in trios both in HR and in normals

Every single game nowadays is min maxed to the t sleeper af, that’s why first few months of a game feels magical while people are figuring and trying new stuff out, unfortunately there will always be something that’s the best just how it works

For sure. But games manage to break metas by making good adjustments so things can still shine through/around the “meta” ironmace hasn’t made any progress in balance that pushes players away from ranged damage spam and buffball since the playtests sadly
