Thanks for beginning with the first of the series. The studio always found Western Stars with trios who seemed to actually like each other. Am disabled and want to thank you for all the oaters you show. Love my Shoot 'Em Ups (especially the trio series. 🐴 🐴🐴) 😷 😀

I always wondered if the tv series LAREDO was in any way influenced by these movies.

If not taken too seriously, this can be just plain, hoaky fun - ideal for Saturday afternoon matinees. These three stars played well off each other. It's too bad that the film stock was in such bad shape that so many cuts had to be made. In spite of that, it was still very entertaining.

Many of the acting and stuntman stock were off fighting WW2. What films were done were great distractions for the unpleasant daily life of those youngsters. Dad off at war and Mom most likely helping run farms or in any place they could fill for a man. Yah! Rosie the Riveter helped win the war. And B westerns helped distract the youngsters every matinee. Especially w/the serials w/cliffhangers.

That was a piece of an old tour or educational film that got in there. Who knows when it happened. Maybe part of a promo that was shown at a theater where this print was once played. You know, kind of like a commercial shown during an intermission. The old projectors had reels about 3 feet in diameter but the movie came in on smaller reels that would fit in to a smaller, easy to carry box. They had to be spliced together for the showing with any intermission stuff added in and then taken back apart to be shipped to the next theater. In any case it never got caught and was shown like this who knows how many times. Now it's been digitized. Somebodies mistake saved for all times. Good catch on your part.
