THE RANGE ROVER BUBBLE HAS OFFICIALLY BURST - PART 2 - Sort of!!!

Hey everyone, after going to my local car auction last week and being flabbergasted at the sheer number of Land Rover/Range Rover 😜 products filling the lanes, I really wanted to go back 7 days later to see if this trend had continued, dive in to see what happened.
As always, appreciate the support of the channel greatly, keep the comments and likes coming if its deserved, we are just trying to give those without the insight possibilities a cheeky look into the motor trade world. 👍👍👍

Always liked JLR but I was always afraid of reliability. Diesel Mercedes used to be a good buy, had a good few, but the newer stuff isn't much better than a mondeo.

Completely agree on all you've said in this comment bud, even with the Mercs, they use to be bomb proof, now unfortunately the guys I used to work with at Mercs tell me of horror stories every day........they have nothing good to say about them anymore.....such a shame!!! 😩😩😩

Hey Kev. Loved my old Disco, was such a great vehicle....spacious, comfy, quick enough......but I permanently had a fault reader in the diagnostic port and would often reset a fault code at the traffic lights haha. New pad looks cool, will have to drop by one day. Regards Jon Mills

You say there’s a lot of JLR vehicles being sold, but could that not be down to the fact there are so many of them on the road? The more vehicles of a particular brand / model that are on the road, the more will appear for sale 🤷‍♂️ They really are immensely popular! Regarding this keyless entry, rather than go right back to the older key and ignition barrel, the version in between was fine, press the button on your fob to unlock / lock, and put the fob into the ignition slot and push it to start the car. That fixes two problems. 1) You need the fob to initiate the unlock process, by pressing the button, rather than the car constantly scanning for the key. 2) You need the fob inserted into the car and pressed to start the car, rather than just having a fob in range the cars system.

Hi Kev. After finding Sky news quite depressing when I got in it was a welcome relief to watch your video and to see the Chelmsford set up. Nice one. You were nearly taken out at 6 minutes in by a boy racer! My buddy had a 2010 Range Rover and it haemoraged money 💰💰 and it gave his wallet a serious beating but he kept loving it. That kind of expensive ownership is not my cup of tea but some Land Rover and Range Rover owners just adore their cars for sure at whatever expense. I’ve had a disco and two Range Rover sports… I absolutely loved them but they do have a lot of issues, all I ever heard was ‘it’s a common problem!!’. I drive an e class coupe now but my heart will always be Range Rover … I just vowed not to buy one again till I win the lottery so I can buy newer and have a spare car. When they go they are a fantastic, solid, smooth drive with a great panorama… when I used to tow a caravan you just didn’t know there was anything on the back…

Keyless ignition is a problem on expensive cars, so buy a Faraday pouch for your fob. Problem solved. It can't get stolen by copying the fob data.

I think with the publicity about not being able to insure range rovers in london because of theft the issue is more south of england i believe jLR are going to resolve security issues

I stole my own car out of black Bush in Hampshire call auctions with electric barrier and 20 ft barbed wire fencing the car was a Saab carlsson 9000 air flow turbo back in 1992 book about what happens and it's a real story-100% the car auction bailiffs stole my car off my mum's drive at 2:00 in the morning and laughed at me I wasn't laughing when I stole the fucking car back I kept the car for three years during the court case which of course I lost and I had to keep them around 2.5 k as the car had devalued I wish I still like that call now there's a picture of it on my tiktok the best car I have ever had fully loaded in every way factory body kit crossbow alloy wheels and 180 brake horsepower it's a true story Black Bush in Hampshire car auctions go sit and spin wankers PS great video James❤❤❤❤

I was looking at a 2018 Range Rover Sport P400e from a London based LR dealer about 4 weeks ago and it was £40,995. Today, they still have the car in stock and its £29,995. Dealers in and around the London area must be suffering, but they also must have huge profit margins.

Keyless security recall is now in full swing for most modern JLR vehicles. This should cool the insurance premium market and alleviate buyers concerns somewhat.

@@VisionPrestigeCars Believe it is 2018 and newer cars for now. Not sure if they are planning on going back further only time will tell. It's an upgrade to Ultra Wide Band for the keyless radio protocol which is harder to relay attack. Latest vehicles have it fitted as standard and has drastically reduced theft rates.

The reason for a lot of people,and in my case is insurance price,£700 last year £2800 this year for my 2017 Disco sport..crazy anyway I sold it now, perhaps it was there.

Nothing to do with cost of living, it’s about the out of control thefts of land rovers and Range rovers. £25,000 in some instances to insure your Range Rover? People don’t want them anymore because they are un-insurable. Values are dropping as a result. This won’t change until JLR get a grip of vehicle security.

We are still selling Range Rover Sports and Discovery 4 no problem at all as long as they have full service history and in a good colour and Spec and Prepped to a High Standard and sub 30k for a Range Rover Sport and Sub 25k for a Discovery 4 with Average or Below Mileage with plenty of good quality images 60+ and a Video and a good description it will sell they are Premium Brand aspirational vehicles and the Right JLR at the right price and Spec will always find a buyer.

You know what Lee, im not gonna lie, when someone calls me and asks me to source them a Disco or RR im the first to say no and try and talk them out of it. The harsh thing about that is when you speak to someone that's had one 10 years and it hasn't missed a beat you realise if you buy the right model initially and maintain it properly they are amazing cars. Hi Kev. All i can say is that video you did with the Range Rover's was troublesome. I never saw so many in the one place. It was like a garage closed down and sent all their Cars to Auction or something like that. Something Happened Somewhere and we will probably never find out bro. That was a Lovely Mini Cooper in Red lol. I do love a nice Mini. Everyone slays them off especially with the BMW engine's. But i would still have one. Mabey the Rangies are the same. @@andypicken7848​⁠​⁠ It won’t matter how slow and under powered Range Rovers are if you live in Wales! Most roads are 20mph, even some main B roads for are 20mph for miles. Dual carriageways and motorways, have been changed to 50mph from the national speed limit and 70mph respectively. They state that the central reservation barriers are unsafe, but are not doing anything to upgrade them, and return the national speed limit. This week Welsh labour pm Drakeford (Not what we usually call him)! said……The Welsh motorists are getting used to driving at 20mph,and support it, so it’s staying! The truth is, no, we’re not getting used to it, and do not support it, he’s just pulling statements out of a hat! There was a massive petition to reverse it which was ignored! I don’t know anyone that isn’t complaining about it. My average fuel consumption in a 2.2 litre petrol automatic, not a Range Rover, has gone from 37mpg to 26mpg, due to the 20mph speed limit! What could this mean for a Range Rovers average mpg! Sorry for the rant and going off subject, but I’d love to leave the totalitarian state that is Wales and move to a more sensibly run England, even if the pm has no back bone and doesn’t follow through on election policies! And it’s not just myself other family members and friends feel the same! Leave Wales now, it’s crap, and don’t bother holidaying here either, driving has become too stressful! Speed cameras set to 20mph are obviously coming to everyone!
