My second car was a 1966 Classic Cross County wagon 660 three on the tree 232 straight six bought from an estate attorney in 1977. It served well hauling my freight from one season job to the next as a newly minted fish biologist in Wyoming, Montana and Idaho for the next couple years.

My first car was a 1968 Rambler American 440. Same color and same engine, but mine was a 4dr and had a single carburetor. I miss that beauty 😢

very nice car I’ve always preferred the the basic styling of the 1966 - 1969 Rambler it’s very subtle yet unique at the same time

Mine was white with red interior , three on the tree automatic . I was sixteen and this car was sweet . I was tricked int to trading it for a work truck when i was 19 😢

Looks like the left front suspension needs some work. Parts for the trunnion* front ends are getting hard to find. It got a few other rough spots. Front bumper for one but if it's perfect you'd be sc scared to drive it. The AMO (American Motors Owners) and the AMC forum are good sources. *similiar to MsPherson Strut

It does, doesn't it? That boxy styling was pretty popular in the mid to late 60s.
