To me , Imelda May in the female Phil Lynott of Old Dublin Town, Ireland, yes the World, what a classy lady she is, a most brilliant singer, a very great writer, master storyteller, top top grade performer, What a show that, John Sheahan along with his musician palls on stage, it must have felt like being in heaven
@timothygraham43042 жыл бұрын
If she does it for you, fair enough, but you're absolutely wrong, and you know it. She's good, but she has yet to bring out a classic or 3.

I met John and the rest of the Dubliners in the Holiday Inn Hotel in Lyon in France around 20 years ago. It was at breakfast and even though I didn't immediately recognise them I could see by their walk and talk that they were Irish. So, when we sat down to eat, I leaned over and asked one of them if they were from Ireland, he replied yes, and then I detected a Dublin accent so asked are you from Dublin, he replied, we are, we are the Dubliners. Of course then I realised why they looked so familiar. John came over and joined our table where I was having breakfast with my young son Cillian. John told me that he had a grandson called Cillian. He was an absolute gent, no airs or graces, a true Dub. And that's coming from a Culchie. Patsy Watchorn was the gent that we first got talking to, he was also a gem. He was very funny, apparently, someone kept stealing his boiled egg from the buffet breakfast.
