It would be really tough to figure out which one I'd pick from the SW line if you could just have ONE set. For ESB, however, I would get the Hoth Leia, R2 w/scope, and Hoth Luke. Thanks for the video

I know I had some of these, I can't remember which. Once the package was open the cardback was usually in the trash. They were pretty cool, I wish I had some MOC now.

I remember the Return of the Jedi TWO-PACKS (on clearance), but never saw any THREE-PACKS in toy stores back in the 1970s or early 1980s.

I got the set with Han Bespin just for that figure. Sure I played with Lobot and Ugnaught, but Han was the one I was after.

I always wondered why some sets didn't come with duplicates, then we wouldn't have had so much trouble convincing parents that we really did need more than one stormtrooper or whatever, for example... The Villain Set 1:33 could have been 1 Death Squad Commander and 2 stormtroopers. The Imperial Set 4:21 could have been 1 AT-AT Commander and 2 AT-AT Drivers. The Bespin Alliance 4:51 could have been 1 Lando and 2 Bespin Security Guards (one of each). The Bespin Set 5:17 could have been 1 Lobot and 2 Ugnaughts. The Hoth Rebels 6:16 could have been 1 Rebel Commander* and 2 Rebel Soldiers *from 7:07. The Imperial Forces 6:40 could have been 1 Imperial Commander* and 2 Snowtroopers *from 4:21. The Bespin Set 7:44 could have been 1 Bespin Security Guard and 2 Cloud Car Pilots. Etc, etc.

I don't really recall the 3packs in stores but we had a Sears Surplus Store that had the Chewie, R2 and 3po, but they were in a generic box. Leftovers from the figure packs in the Sears catalog. They had a huge bin full of that 3 pack. I think I picked up a couple because you know, R2 sticker never stayed good for long and 3po would get loose quick. Nice calling the Power Droid by his given name! I can't stand the referring to it as a "gonk".

We had a store in the eighties called king liqiuders and the had stuff like the star wars toys but in white boxes. Never picked them up because I already had them .But at the time I did pick up the Flash Gordon animated series figures.

A Stormtrooper 3-pack would fly off the shelves... but a Jawa set has its charms. For my money I'd love a 3-set of Gonk droids. Can't have too many Gonks. Get rid of the other two and just give me Gonks.

Never seen these, but my Dad was a truck driver and delivered a load of Star Wars Empire toys to a Kmart. A case of figures had busted open so the guy was cool and turned it into their insurance and gave them to my Dad to bring home. I WAS CRAPPIN IN TALL COTTON!!!! Free Star Wars and Empire figures?!?! Needless to say I had 3 Vaders so I cut a head off one to play the scene from Luke and Vader on Dagobah. Damn! This channel always bringing up memories!!!!

I vividly recall shopping for the figures at the "Children's Palace" toy store as a kid from 1978 & beyond. I just don't remember ever seeing the multi-fig cards. ...Probably because I had them all as individual figures so I didn't pay attention to these packs?

2:40 - Death Star Droid - The black one that you see passing by when Han, Luke, and Chewie are at the turbo lift, well if you look at the Ralph McQuarrie production painting of that scene- That is the one Kenner's figure is based on, it is silver with black shoulders and eyes.. They obviously used the photo of the Sandcrawler droid since it was the closest to what they made. The prototype Death Star Droid also even looks slightly more insectlike in the head like the one in the painting. I think you even did a video on how Kenner at the beginning was working mostly with early reference photos/artwork.

I remember going into Kiddie City with my mother round 84 seeing some of these on clearance along with the single figures. I had already moved on from SW so instead I got a MJ Thriller view master. I do own a few of the Kaybee 2 packs tho.

I remember going to Boscovs a local store in pa thst was actually used in Mannequin. Anyways they had a big bin of opened figures. Hundreds of stormtroopers and solo figures
