You've got the makings of a good channel if you've regularly got metal this rare rolling through the doors... Although it must be said, making media in your workplace drastically changes what it is your workplace does and how it gets done. It's the definition of the double edged sword.

Well, talk about wild serendipity. I went to Automezzi this past year with my 1973 Triumph GT6 MK3 since Michelotti designed it. I was in the "Etceterini" class, next to guess what? One of the other ATS 2500 GTS in existence. I had a great chat with the restorer of the car, and on the other side of the ATS was an Apollo GT. Even more wild is the fact that my dad is friends with the owner of the Siata mentioned at the restoration shop. Small world.

Little correction: the first mid-engined streetcar Matra Djet was named René Bonnet when it was launched before the sale of the company to Matra.

When I saw the ATS in Road & Track, when I was 13, I immediately built a model of it, in HO scale, on a Aurora Model Motoring chassis, out of balsa wood and card stock. While an accepted construction method for HO trains, it didn't last as long , in scale, than the originals did in the Targa Florio. I was awe struck by the ATS, and didn't have that reaction again, until the Miura was created! Fortunately, Aurora saved me the challenge, of building my own Miura!

Donald, if nobody ever told you this, let me be the first; you were born to be a docent, and within your subject you are awesome. But your ability to get the tremendously skilled restorer to light up and tell his important side of the story was a treat. Btw, I "apprenticed" under two immigrants from Italy- Turin, to be exact; both worked at FIAT Automobili and decided to "go West" as Greely said. The tall one was 5'7', and weighed, maybe 160 lbs in middle age., the shorter was 5'4'' and weighed close to the same- and had a larger waistband, too, now I think on it; I would think the car was built for somebody about 7/8 ths your size. Now Jay's head would be into the roof, knees fighting for space with the steering wheel. Don't ever quit what you are doing, Mr. Osborne, your interest and love of it shows every time.

Beautiful and intriguing car...Thank you for keeping it on the road and sharing it with all of us. It really makes you wonder what could have been with ATS if things had continued to evolve. Scaglione was a maestro, as well as Bizarrinni...talk about pedigree. Awesome!! Thanks again for this video.

60's Italian cars had such a unique beauty to their artistic body designs. The ATS GT could share the spotlight with other stunning machines of the era, for example the Lamborghini Miura and the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale💕

nice exceptional car in the show, thanks for that.Would have been more interesting than listening to that retoration guy to see some pictures of the faulty, corroded parts inside,Donald explaining the works going on.Listening to the V8, it must have a flat plane crank, which could have been mentioned, as a really outstanding feature, putting it close to the Bugatti V8s

You should paint it in the factory red and then paint the later red over the top so any future restorers find the same layers you did.
