I know this video was super long... but I didn't have time to make a script! Hope you enjoy it regardless! Now for some questions! Which deck is your favorite to learn about? What do you think of the Prete "Snowboard" shape? Think it would sell for $750 today?

Awesome collection Chris! The rarest fingerboards I have are a 32mm berlinwood skyline engraved, I think only 50 of those were made. The other is a one of a kind 29mm red berlinwood with the brr logo branded on it. It was gifted to me by Martin when he came to Toronto in 2010. He told me it was a one of a kind.

my heart always drops when i see a first gen close-up setup. THE most nostalgic fingerboards i ever seen and luckily owned one, but i think over 15 years ago the thin deck broke in my pocket when i was just hanging out somewhere. used the trucks, wheels and bushings for a looong time after. especially the bushings were super squishy and amazing. if i could ever get my hands on a new ziplock package of a 1st generation closeup...

Hey Rens! Yes, there were no fingerboards like the old Close-Ups! I wish I could find the other truck so I could get that setup again

I can really relate to this video. I also had 54334 tech decks taken away by teachers in school and I also had an arctic deck. I remember learning nollie tre on the arctic deck it was so good.

Man, I wish I still had my first Berlin Wood which I aquired in 2003, on techdeck oldschool cruiser trucks upgraded with Winkler Wheels. Discovering wooden FB decks at a local skateshop here in Berlin blew our minds. I eventually gave it away because it was that worn down razor tail style that it had gotten shorter than a techdeck and Berlin Wood had released the deep concave shape which I got instead. Now I regret having given it away.

Epic! I still use one of my BW old mold decks! It's a 27mm and I just bought the new 26mm Dynamic trucks ☺️

Such a great collection. Do you still have that Berlinwood with the red and black split bottom ply used in your hardflip video, Chris? It's one of the nicest setups I've ever seen.

For sure! I have so few of my early wooden setups 😭 I gave my first and only pro model to Mike for his museum haha I was also sponsored by a deck company back in like 2001/2002 and don't have that deck anymore 🫠
