The RAREST FISH EVER CAUGHT ON VIDEO?!

In this video, Zach and I are very deep in the marsh, and we find ourselves absolutely COVERED UP in alligators and all kinds of gar!
We eventually start hooking these fish when we throw hard lures. Right before it is time to go, a SUPER rare fish surfaces, and I have one shot to make the cast count.....

That reminds me of my late grandfather’s pond in Minden, Louisiana. He had a 10 lb albino catfish in there that we all caught at least once. He cooked the fish he caught but the albino always went back. It was all white with pink eyes!

That last gar was beautiful! Come on down to Texarkana and fish the Sulphur River for some giants! If you're in a kayak they bust right next to you!!! Multiple giant species there.

@@OptimizedOutdoors those buffalo make great fish chowder! Just substitute canned clams with a cup or two or three of fingernail sized deboned buffalobits.

Definitely a lot of snagging but you can catch them without trying the illegal way. I have a few videos of catching 5+ pounder largies near the dam and boat ramp. I've caught giant catfish, bass, crappie, buffalo, drum and even bowfin from there.

So Epic, congrats...that's such a rarity! That thumbnail stopped me in my tracks, I'd only seen melanistic animals in a hunting game that I play. Albino and Melenistic animals are true real life shinies, I once found a wild albino crayfish, brought her home and had her for about 4 years before she passed away. Definitely one of my favorite pets to have, she was already pretty old when I found her so I was surprised she lived as long as she did. But the time I did have her was awesome! Miss you so much Ms. Crawdad! 😇😇❤❤

I worked at the boy scout ranch out here in athens texas , and it is overran with gators, they have 3000+ acres with multiple ponds, lake, and river with spillway, that is on the 3000+ acres , I can attest to them hitting top water baits but will go for just about anything, I have brought a 7 footer to the boat and into the bank on a chug bug on spiderwire, he could have easily snapped it but he was curious and went along for the ride , I was going to let him go but my uncle decided that we would be eating gator for supper , it was really good too

You should look into a polarized filter for your camera which should make the fish show up better for the camera. Edit: Beautiful gar, by the way. I guess I should have waited until finishing the video to comment lol. Your videos are the best out of quite a few fishtubes I watch, keep 'em coming.

He bit the crappie jig and when I started fighting him I told my buddy “yeah I got a stupid gar” got him on the surface and started freaking out yelling for him to help me land it just like you did 😂 made the five mile walk with no crappie worth it. I put it in my backyard pond. From what I’ve read about them they’re one in a billion. We sight cast gar all summer and that’s the first one I’ve seen.
