This Rasta guy is brilliant. Please tell him to write a book about herbs and how they can benefit us. Especially in the USA where everything is GMO. We want to know what we can eat to better our health and mind. Please write a book or teach a class or access information online. I can see you becoming wealthy helping others. Love Always

This looks like a phenomenally healing place! I went on my honeymoon in 1982 to Ocho Rios for a week, and instead of doing the tourist stuff, we rode bareback on horses on the beach and in the ocean, took taxis to villages, and I never wanted to leave!❤ I would love to go back to Jamaica 🇯🇲 someday ❤🎉😊

Coco, it seems like you are looking for an answer to what exactly Rastafari is. The thing is, Rasta means different things to different people. Just like with Jews or Christians, you have those who are orthodox and then you have those who just celebrate the holidays, for example. There is a wide range of what Rastafari means, so you will get a different answer from each person. Rasta is a way of life, not a religion. It's not an organization with specific rules. The basis of true Rastafari is peace, love and unity. It is a natural lifestyle, eating organic, vegetarian, connecting with the Earth, and avoiding Babylon shitstems. It is believing in the teachings of Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia. The name Rastafari comes from his original name, which was Ras Tafari Makkonen. Some people think if a man has dreads, he must be Rasta, but this is not the case. Thank you for interviewing this conscious Rasta who represents the fundamentals.

@@COCOBOY369Jamaica does not practice polygamy, it is not lawful, Rastas having more than one wives is not recognize, they will only get one marriage certificate if they want to chose that path, the can have dozens of queens or empresses, but they can only marry one.

Got this similar explanation in Ethiopia Just to add....it was started at a time Selasi visited Jamaica. Tgey had not had rain for so many years. And as soon as Haile Selasi touched Jamaican soil, it started raining....

Also, polygamy is illegal in Jamaica. Those artists who have more than one wife - its not a legal marriage, its just because the man has money and fame. Not a normal thing. A lot of Rasta never marry, some have several baby mothers, but those who chose to marry treat their woman like a Queen

I kind of agree that 'governments' are the cause of all social unrest but I would like to suggest to Israelis who are currently living in occupied territory in Palestine, and who think that there is nothing they can do, they could give back what is not legally theirs and go live someplace else. Apart from that, this is a brilliant piece of film showing some of the best of Jamaica. Thanks.

Irie is not Potwa! Its another word created for what it’s use for! Some ppl think Jamaicans don’t have their common English language! When some more chose to speak potwa or pidgin or Jamaican creole! Or broken English majorly chopping of some consonants and interchangeable vowels with an hard letter “A” combining words also so it flow faster and still creating new words so the enemy won’t figure out what we saying! Oh oh just let out di secret outta di bag!
