Some become rastafarian as a choice, some are born into rastafarian and many are rastafarian at heart although they don't have the hair. So you dont have to dread to be rasta,it's not a dreadlocks thing but a conception of the heart ♥.

The people from Portland drink lots of spring water. My mother was born in Portland, I was born in Kingston and as a young child on school holiday I use to visit with my Grand mother in Portland I use to go to the spring for water for my Grand mother my Gr -mother had a spring on her land , our spring water comes up from the ground. Portland have lots of spring. Portland was the first Tourist Parish for Jamaica. Also the best banana is from Portland. Enjoy Portland and your stay in Jamaica.stay well and safe. One love.

@Coco boy you always find the most intriquing and beautiful places to explore plus the simple and beautiful life of the people in Jamaica.in the different areas of the island whether it ibe the rural or urban areas which makes your contents so enjoyable to watch. The way you relate to people and the respect you have for the culture is always heartwarming to watch your videos. The calm and charm of your host was admirable. Just letting you know that if you didnt know that "Jamaica is called the LAND OF WOOD AND WATER" here is the explanation "The Taino people arrived from South America in the seventh century and called the island Xaymaca, "land of wood and water," because of the green dense forest and the hundreds of fast-flowing streams that once covered the landscape." Blessings to you my brother, One love

@@COCOBOY369I'm happy to see you are enjoying my country. I enjoyed Israel too. It felt like Jamaica. They only needed some reggae music on the beaches in Elat. If you return to Kingston try and visit the Jewish synagogue there on Duke street. It's called Sherrie Shalom. Call first. They would glad to give you a tour. The floor has sand and our Jewish ancestors came to Jamaica during the Inquisition. Jamaican Jews are Jewmaican. 😁

I was watching this show yesterday evening, and I love the Country side.We need to get out and get the MP of the area and start to have the spring water running into these houses. Beautiful house and no running water inside your home. If you can't help the people out. Then give them tank so that the water can get through there houses. Jamaica is a beautiful place 😍

So here’s the thing about Rastafari. In my twenties I was checking for Rastafari. I was very much into it. Dreaded my hair would cover it only wear dresses and skirts. I wasn’t sure how I felt about Selassie. And i don’t care for the Bible. What I loved about being Rastafari was the ital diet vegetarian diet, rejection of Babylon system, living in nature. So I would wonder if there could be different types of rastafari. What I do do is Rastafari is taken from selassie as his precoronation name was Ras Tafari. So in my mind I’d think you could only be a Rastafari if you believed that Selassie was like God or as she was saying like Jesus. Because of that reason and the Bible thing I don’t check into that. I stopped covering my head and wear pants now. Though there’s still much I like about it it’s those things, Now I haven’t been back to JA since the 90’s and don’t know much about if it’s evolved. I know about the Bobo Ashanti and the twelve tribes. Can there be different types of Rasta. They say some eat flesh. There’s reggae artists that say they are Rasta but🤔. I’ve seen some of their actions when they are on tour in the US and I personally don’t think they could be. Many are whorish and I can’t see a true Rasta living that way. What irritates me is when they say “ Jah Rastafari “ on stage. There’s no need for that. If you’re truly living in a good way , and truly spiritual , why do that. Just seems so commercial to me.

As a child I loved rolling the Chocolate Balls with my Grandma. We had the trees so we picked the Cocoa, dry them in sun & beat dem in the Mortar with the sick. My childhood days in the cool, green, fertile Hills of Clarendon parish. Sweet memories, I will NEVER forget❤

There was even a natural healing documentary done on people half a mile up in fruitfulvale where rastas use natural medicine from herbs. You can find on youtube made by dsw. The place by the river is called fruitfulvale. Ken baugh is our family as well. And the family that owns kfc franchise in jamaica. We have many links to this land i plan to retire there one day and help build business links with our family and maroons with family remaining in the states so we can remain connected to this way of life.
