I love the mood of this song, instrumentals, all of it. I discovered this song when i was maybe 15 or 16. This song still sticks with me to this day. Screw genres, it's just beautiful. It brings me to a mood that i can't describe. I love it. I feel nostalgic for a period of time that I used to hate. God. I wish i could go back.

I think a lot of us get that same feeling. I do when I listen to the older albums of my favorite bands like tool, aperfect circle, autolux, radio head and such. Hated those times but man i wish i can do it all over again😌

I'm sure someone before me (probably many?) have noticed and pointed out the similarities between this song by The Raveonettes and the song, 'Cheree', by Suicide?? I mean, if you listen to both even halfway through...... I'm hoping somewhere along the way The Raveonettes stated that 'Dead Sound' was a tribute of some sort, or maybe at the very least acknowledged that 'Cheree' and/or Suicide were an influence on them??? I don't mean to cause controversy. I first discovered 'Dead Sound' by the Raveonettes, and I absolutely love it... but after hearing 'Cheree', it's hard to dismiss the similarity to it's predecessor.

WELL. Since no one else is gonna, I will. Lyrics --------- I hear the sound of falling love as I wonder where you are Hits the ground with a dead sound know you ain't got far You're too stupid and sissy-like to say that you want out You make the eyes of a million girls and think you'll make them shout Dead sound Dead sound Dead sound Dead sound I used to take you on every time that sparkle turned to black I used to drag you through my streets when you came crawling back Your cheap words that you bought on sale won't help you through tonight You make the eyes of a million girls and think that's what they like Dead sound Dead sound Dead sound Dead sound And now you go through a million girls and try to pick what's right When nightfall comes and you're still alone do you feel it deep inside? It's "oh so cold" on the other side where thoughts can turn you down You make the eyes of a million girls but I see no girl around Dead sound Dead sound Dead sound Dead sound

@fazelife i don't think she is. she has talent. and being that not many ppl have seen her or rather heard her sing while playing her piano i could see why many ppl like you think the way they do. i think she is a talented young woman. Fuck what she wears or her music videos. We are all a lil weird...some just better at expressing it then others. plus, she had been singing for while now, just barely was discovered, give her room to bask in her success. Its only fair. ~ ♥

While the Scarlette Johansen/ B. Murry (Lost in Translation) video for this song is more visually beautiful (Tokyo @ night) THIS video is deep with meaning & story. It appears the pretty short-haired blonde chic's brother killed himself in some kind of homosexual lovers quarrel with the brunette boy. That's what I get from it, anyways...
