The RC Speedy R2 is a line killer! [Direct Capra drop-in Moon Buggy RC crawler kit build & 1st run]

In this video, we’re looking at the RC Speedy R2 Moon Buggy Chassis! First, we’ll put it together on the bench and discuss the pros and cons of the drop-in kit-then we’ll take it out on the rocks and see how she goes on the hard lines! So, you’ve been subscribing to those tube chassis groups on Facebook, your starting to catch yourself salivating every time you see a moon buggy in your Instagram feed-maybe you even have a friend or two who’ve gotten into them themselves and you just can’t help but stop and stare when you see them hitting a line while you’re out on the rocks-I think it’s time my friend; time for you to get into a tube chassis rig.
The RC Speedy R2 Moon Buggy chassis is currently selling on the RC Speedy Fab website for a killer $299 and is a direct drop-in conversion kit for an Axial Capra, with very little effort required. You can also customize your own build on the RC Speedy website, including fitment for a variety of skids including the UCFab, Vader, or stock 10ii, a variety of transmissions including the vanquish 3gear with Hurtz dig, and numerous other options such as shock mounting, anodization, and scale accessories. As with all other RC Speedy products that I’ve seen, you can also upgrade the chassis from 5mm stainless tube to 5mm titanium rod for added durability at an additional cost.

The RC Speedy chassis is affordable with plenty of options to suit any build. I can't fault the HW1080 though, I think maybe user error contributed to this one 😉 You were rockin' some pretty powerful servos and you should have used an external bec at the very least. Fun build, lots of potential there!👍 Thanks for another great video!

Much appreciated! I'll have a full comparison video soon, but I'd say that the Speedy chassis makes the rig a bit more predictable, as well as improving the clearances in just about every dimension.
