The Reagan tax cut was based on the Kennedy tax cut. Reagan's tax cuts had almost nothing to do with the huge deficits and the lost revenue that occurred during the 81-82 recession. The 25% tax cut was implemented in 3 stages. The first 5% in October 1981, 10% in July 1982 and then 10% in July 1983...so the majority of the tax cut weren't implemented yet when the people in the video were complaining about it not working. The recession then ended in December of 1982. The increase in the deficit was b/c of high unemployment and the defense spending increase.

Ask ANYONE who suffered through communism and learn how great government controlled healthcare was ( and still is ). Only Party apparatchiks received even mediocre care. If you are TRULY serious about quality health care, remove the insane Obamacare controls - All government control - and let the free market provide coverage. The only government control of health care I want is to force the insurance companies to cover what consumers expected, in good faith, when buying coverage. Aside from good medical care, overall health care involves food and drug quality. There are hundreds of ingredients used in foods and drugs in the U S. that are banned throughout the world because those governments know how toxic those components are. Ask any physician what the greatest impediment to providing care to patients and they will tell you it government / insurance regulations. More and more doctors are taking cash only payment and delivering better overall patient care. There are associations of physicians across the country ( Atlas for example ) that also have included discount vision, dental & pharmaceuticals. Look into them for massive savings... and get rid of the failed idea of 'give me, give me give me' - NO FREE LUNCHES - Somebody ultimately pays the bill. The dems dangle the carrot of erasing student debt for currying votes. You ate paying for that,. - but government pouring money into universities is a discussion for another time.

The deficit we have every year is what adds on to our debt we owe Ronald Reagan tried multiple times to get a balanced budget amendment passed but he never could get it thanks to Congress.
