Scottejaye I think your wrong while fishing will be alright, Im fairly sure the best gold per hour from a profession is going to be pickpocket. There are a large number of yellow non aggressive mobs in their 40s and 50s that you can pickpocket for loot and gold. Most of the best loot in the game is going to be from level 40-44 mobs for the ilvl 39 and 40 greens that can be used as low as level 21. Pickpocket is fishing but better - the fish, you get all the same tailor mats and recipes just more of them and health potions also.

@@Scottejaye There are two sets of mobs that look really good, the dalaran npcs lvl 32-34 all neutral just by the lake under the undercity, and the two big camps of Centaur in desolace they are 34-36 and again all neutral so you can just go mob to mob without having to worry about death. If you are feeling brave the slave workers in SG and BS will be really good but they have high lvl taskmasters around them so prob best to wait untill lvl 40 bracket. I think all the bots in BRD should be fine by lvl 40..... Thats when the economy will be broken. As for other '' best'' gold farms im sure you know about Mithril farming in Maru, but the bloodstone cave in north east Arathi Highlands looks extreamly good for a stealth talented rogue. There are several mithril spawns in it and you should be ok to sap mobs that are 5-7 levels above so long as its from behind.

@@Scottejaye I will be very surprised if Rogues not the most played class at 25 by a very large %, SoD may as well be renamed season of ganking because you know thats all most people are going to be doing for weeks on end. Even in full Bis most tanks will simply not survive Ambush, Backstab, Backstab, Between the Eyes. A mage without mana shield up will be dead before the third Backstab.

Just a side note on the farming mithril at level 25. There is a place where mithril nodes spawn and it's pretty safe for a level 25 - the valley with the harpies that leads from stonetalon to desolace. Shared spawn spots with iron, so a decent place to level mining in that range

Tanaris seems safe on half of the fishing path - no red mobs anywhere close. Horde could also do Grom Gol and fish close to it and maybe swim toward BB and look for patches of shore free of red mobs (not so easy). Other options - lower tier in Stonetalon, some spots around Alterac Mountains/Dalaran and river near Tarren Mill. Silk/Iron/herbs can be done in 1K Needles where centaur and Grim Totem drop it while being 24-26 levels. Sadly shaman nor priest won't be able to walk on water/levitate at 25. Curious if we will have Fishing Extravaganza from launch...

Fishing skill effects your chance to hit mobs in combat w/ fishing rods, though class melee abilities don't work so ur a auto-attack bot. While our main weapon skills are capped at 125 at lvl 25, fishing will be maxed out at 225, which is equivalent to a level 45's maxed out weapon skill, so maybe people will group up to farm and wack level 45 mobs at level 25 with fishing rods to death, with healers keeping them up. I'd imagine rods will be bad in BFD, but it will enable people to be able to kill mobs in groups up to level 45, I think.

Personally I am not too worried about items above lvl25 because hopefully the new raid will drop items that will be better then those but since we dont know those items yet it is probably good just to hold on to them.

I remember one of the private servers I tried way before first Classic release not having skinning implemented, so fishing became the main source of leather. Economy was really weird for leathers! I can imagine if SoD ends up being anything like that having a maxed out crafter might be a challenge that you end up solving on a guild-wide level rather than having individual players try to grind it for themselves

Sounds like hunters will have quite a decent time in the beginning. Using the aspect, they should have a leg up, when it comes to running to new swarms for fishing. Cat druids and shamans should be viable too but their speed increase isn't as passive as the aspect, costing you time... Though I am not sure if it's better to hunt for the swarms or just fishing in one spot is best.

Hunters can also pull mobs higher level (they have some kinda of increased hit rate) and use guards to kill them, so good for skinning and other mats

enchanting, bags, mage lvl 60 epic robe, mooncloth for bags and T3 armor turn ins, smithing for thunderfury and lionheart, leather has delvisaur and hide of wild, alchemy is always relevant, fishing has relevant buff food.

@@rocklee5090 fishing pools have a chance to respawn as floating wreckage pools instead of fish, and from that wreckage you can fish up varying levels of trunks that contain money, bolts of cloth, leather, and green-quality items (among other things). the level of the stuff in the trunk depends on the level of the trunk, and the level of the trunk depends on the level of the zone you fished it from

Also something to think about, Gnomes get +15 to engineering, this means gnomes can get up to 240 engineering and craft things such as gnomish death ray, or Goblin rocket Helm. That's going to be my goal on my warlock tank, getting that rocket Helm for an extra charge and 9 stamina lol

Isnt spellpower complete garbage at those early levels? As lets say 20 Spellpower doesnt equate to 20 more damage on a Frostbolt for example? As frostbolt has 10 rank or 11 in classic, youd only get 3-4 dmg more on a frostbolt of rank 3-4. So, having tons of mana is way better in SoD / early level classic wow.

As far as I know only characters will be capped at 25. The people with best gear are characters that can kill stuff 5 levels higher than themselves. Beast master hunters. Affliction warlocks. Going places more than 5 levels above you will aggro the entire zone. Fishing can get you nice gear but you need be able to get to the zone. Even stealth Druid and rogue has limits about 3-5 levels above you and you can be seen. I still think crafting your gear is the way to go. I’m going to do tailoring engineering warlock gnome.

I didn’t do any of the things you just mentioned. I chose Engineering because it’s the best profession, whether you play Hardcore or just regular Classic. Target Dummies are priceless. It’s easy to level Engineering by casually mining ore as you level. No need to buy gold.

I would LOL so hard if the SoD developer team will put a lvl cap on fishing at 75 fishing, meaning that you can get only like 180-190 fishing with full enchantments running, meaning that if you are set on only fishing to max out proffesions you'd constantly be faced with fish not being caught :P

I just can’t bring myself to farm “pre raid” bis for level 25… I doubt I will even farm it for the next arbitrary level cap they decide to park us at. If it’s not an item for level 60 content I’m 100% not wasting my time farming it. These low level raids are almost certainly going to be trivially easy for anyone with two hands and at least one eye.
