The Toyota series is good because of the championship payout and other than that the American Bass Trail team series has some good payouts for the money. I might do either of those this year. I’m actually eligible to fish big bass tournaments since I didn’t do the opens so I might jump in a couple of those to.

Trying to become a Elite Series tournament fisherman is a horrible way to make a living! Its really ones ego and pride that pushes a person to even try. There are so many ways to make a living but this could possibly be the worst. A wealthy single man in his 30's this could be a fun endeavor but the average fisherman its stupid career decision!

It’s horrible if you’re not sponsored well. There’s not a better job than getting to fish tournaments for a living if you have enough sponsors to cover the cost.

This is what a mass lack of self control looks like. If only a handful of guys were willing to do this. The sport would be forced to change, but the reality is there are always more than enough people willing and wanting to participate. The average person has lost touch with the concept of supply and demand. There are so many things that could be done to bring down the cost across the board, but for many. That takes the level status out it or some how undermines the accomplishment. Which is sad, because at the end of the day. What is the cost of bragging rights worth to you?
