The pirate queen in the TTRPG is pretty similar where it's a mantel that is handed down to her successor

Crimson Jack is pretty much the very first original Legends character. Star Wars #7 was the first issue of the Marvel Star Wars comics after their adaptation of A New Hope (which was issues #1-#6), and Crimson Jack is introduced just a couple pages in. These comics predate Splinter of the Minds Eye, or any other Star Wars comics out there. He's truly the OG Glup Shitto. Also, I like to think Crimson Jack is like the Dread Pirate Roberts. A persona taken on by multiple pirates over the decades. Jod just happens to currently hold the identity during Skeleton Crew.
