For those who don't know, Don keeps saying "Birthday" because this was supposed to be the 2nd anniversary of Boss Radio on KHJ. (It was actually April 27 thanks to KFWB, but that's another story entirely). They went ahead and observed May 5 anyway.

Not from LA, I wasn't able to hear him live unless I went to So Cal. When I WAS able to go, I heard him live on both KRLA and KODJ while CBS had an "oldies" format on it. Got to sit with him for a while at Columbia Square and talk shop with him. As Shaune Steele will attest, they don't make 'em like The Real Don anymore.
