Yeah, I love how these movies tackle wants vs needs. The main character believes what he wants is what he needs, but it turns out that what he needed was something entirely unexpected.

When you mentioned "how do you treat your old toys" I genuinely get sad/feel sad for my older toys when they have been neglected or I have to throw them away or whatever. Its like they were always there for me and somewhere along the line...I stopped being there for them. Even if it is just some inanimate object, I feel like I am doing them some sort of wrong. Its so weird.

They are VERY much connected. There is a toy chest in the dentists office in "Finding Nemo" where Buzz Lightyear is lying, Boo hands Sully a Nemo doll in "Monster Inc", in the credits of "Finding Nemo" Mike Wazowski swims by. They have no shortage of hints to other movies indicating this is all one universe.

Mmmmm I don't fully agree with that due to the addition of things like the ray tracing and detailed texture mapping that exist today. In Finding Dory you can see how much better CGI and Visual Effects have gotten since the days of Nemo. You are right though. They are crazy good looking for when they where made.

I've always felt that way and never been able to put it into words that seamlessly. I still feel that way about the things that I own; things that others don't see near as much value in and will regularly treat poorly for "the lols".

Every single Pixar film is an experiment for the study of new animation techniques, the stories are generally well written, for example Docter and Stanton, and every voice cast sounds so emotional, these are what makes Pixar a masterpiece to billions of audiences

When they finish the shot and it comes the time to export it they "render it" rendering does not have that much to do with the skill of the artist. All that I was saying is that if each frame or 1/24th of a second took for days it would have taken hundreds of years to finish.

I thoroughly enjoyed this! My grandson treats his Toy Story family as family. It’s a treat to observe because most children treat their toys simply as toys. He becomes part of their story. You captured the feelings of a 5 yr old boy and explained it beautifully!

As a young adult, I had been a doll collector, and I had put them away into my parents attic a few years ago, and I was packing them into a box the song when Somebody loved me from Toy Story 2 came on, and I literally broke down crying because it made me remember Jessie's feelings of her owner growing up and no longer playing with her.

Lion King remake was too realistic. Those animals are not emotive enough to carry that story.

Wonderful analysis! I knew they did research for Finding Nemo, but never knew they came up with THAT much new material for it. It’s crazy how much love goes into your videos as well!

God that bit at the end about treating your toys well legitimately got me. I grew up with Toy Story and have always thought of my toys like that.
