He breaks a guitar string mid solo and just keeps going! What a beast.

@JoshuaGuada I'm not sure Justin even noticed that. He was to busy dancing.
@robmcgrath52025 жыл бұрын
Yes, I think Justin totally missed it. You can hear that the string is missing if you listen closely but Stevie Ray just keeps on going. What else could he do, really?
@Jimbodaddy745 жыл бұрын
The level of difficulty in continuing a solo with a broken string is very high. Near impossible if you have a floating tremolo.
@lowpunchhighpunch78294 жыл бұрын
Stevie was always hard on strings but damn he could play better then damn near anyone
@nathanford46414 жыл бұрын
Plus Stevie played with 13 gauge strings, most other guitarists used to be in awe he could pull them strings like he did, they would have shred anyone elses fingers!

The smooth guitar change and not missing a beat after he broke a string is one of the many reasons why SRV is the G.O.A.T, there will never be another one like him.

It seems to me that no matter the genre of music, the great performers all share the ability to capture and hold the audience. Stevie had that for sure. One of my biggest regrets is not seeing him perform in person.

That's about as good as it gets! Can I get a hallelujah? Stevie and his guitar tech are as professional as it gets too. So many guitarists would stop after they broke a string. Not Stevie! he just plays elsewhere till his guy can bring him a new guitar. Smoove!

Huh... excuse me Black America knew about Stevie Ray in the 1970s and 1980s. I saw him live twice in the 80s and he was badass then and badass now. There's no one like Stevie. Now, he's up there with all his musical mentors Albert King, Buddy Guy, BB King, Jimmy Hendrix, all the Greats, etc.. RIP Stevie.
