How ironic. Someone writing not to believe everything you read. The marks aren't actors although I think that they might reshoot some of the pickpocketing for different angles. Also whoever said it had a pretty good point that they would hire models if it was fake. Jess is the only one who's not an accomplished sleight of hand artist and never does anything beyond elementary pickpocketing. She would do a lot more if it was a fake.

they might use actors to recreate the scam when they do the slow motion shots of pick-pocketing or when they are all sitting around a poker table and Paul and Alex are showing you how to do tricks and extras when they have fake auctions etc but the actual marks are never actors.. FACT.

I suggest you Google the Daily Mail article of 20 February 2011 where actors state they were hired by the show to play the part of marks. It is very clear that actors and members of the public who wished to play victims were hire by the show according to the declarations there. Where do you get your information from? Is it the text they put on the show itself which is totally fake/deceiving or do you have inside information?

He's not that brilliant. He exposed the snap change in one shot due to some very dodgy angles. Although I know he does do some good false deals. I don't doubt some shoots are real but there is a lot of evidence from the people who took part that actors were used in some shots. The show even admitted that, when they were pressed. The text they put up at the beginning is misleading.

Some of the cons are with paid stooges (not all but some are). As a proof one of the marks of an episode in series 7 is the same one with an episode in season 10. Of course this doesn't make the show is less entertaining. The con artist/author of the show is primarily Paul Wilson - in the later seasons of this show he developed the cons himself. Together with Alexis Conran they are experts in sleight of hands that is why they are so able in pick-pocketing and the art of deception.
