Good morning everyone and happy Sunday 🙂 I hope that you all know by now how much I truly love and appreciate my job. However, that doesn't mean we don't all have rough days sometimes. This was one of those trips that shows how flight attendant life isn't always "glamorous." We often times have early mornings, late nights, delays, etc. My goal for this video was not to complain or whine, but to show authentically how this job (like any) is not always pretty & perfect. It wouldn't be true to all of you or to myself to ONLY showcase the trips with exotic layovers and no mishaps along the way. With that said I hope you all enjoy this video, thank you for watching and I hope you all have a lovely week ahead! - JJ

Julia, watching all of your videos is always such a treat. We love how genuine & authentic you are with your viewers, which is hard to come by these days. You've given me the push that I needed to start traveling again and I want to thank you for that. We need reminders that there's a lot of this world to see. Delayed flight is what we’re going through right now! Flying out of MCO is crazy with security check taking 90 min and causing us to miss our AA flight back home. They put us on standby 3 times but got bumped each time. Finally flying out tomorrow morning with 4 booked seats! I love airports and airplanes but this is much 🙃! Enough rambling but know how you feel…

Julia that was a more realistic VIEW of the job with the 12+ duty days, the endless annoying SITS, the fact that you only get paid when the blocks are removed NOT for boarding/deplaning, check-in 1 hour before, SITS. The long tropical beach layovers are rare and few and far between. You somehow manage to look beautiful after that early SI amd long duty day not sure if using a soft filter cause I looked like was hit by a Mack truck! Loved the pic of Luna on ur phone you must miss her terribly I know i missed my dog which is why I couldn’t do it anymore…Take a trip to FL but bring miss Luna! Love and light💖✨☀️🌻

Great vlog as always, Julia. I definately can sympathize with you because i have had some tough days at work and gone home and just collapsed. I just got back from visiting family and the same thing that happened to you, happened to me. we got delayed because of sir traffic control there in Dallas, and then when we finally landed, the gate where we were supposed to park, there was another plane there so we had to sit and wait on them

Great vlog as always! Are these 3h sit at the airports here and there meal stops and coffee breaks? I understand that you need them from time to time. Are those breaks for you or the airline. A friend of mine who is a pilot found out that he also had a 3h sit at an airport. He called crew disp and asked why and they said it was his meal stop. He said to them that would not mind eating while flying, so he could leave work 3h sooner. He got his way. Those tiles at hotel bathroom are called Subway tiles. They are awesome! I love em too! Kacy has now worked 5 yrs and she was over the moon that she now only would have to be on reserve every 3 months. Do you want a base change to MIA? Be safe! Looking forward to the next one!

I always laugh when you mention flying in/out of DCA. A former employer had a strict rule about never using that airport. Use was subject tro "Disciplinary Action, Up To and Including Termination od E,mployment." So, when the work our Chief Engineer of the era and I had been doing in Chicago finished ahead of schedule, we decided to return early. When we got to ORD to check-in, we found that our original flight had been "overbooked. So, United offered us a ride out on the next flight to D.C. That meant a trip to DCA. Yes, it was a scary approach compared to IAD. We got back six hours early. The next day, we each got a "Documented Verbal Reprimand" from our VP of Engineering.. It would be 24 years before I would have a fligyht experience as unpleasant. That was when I was RNO-LAS-IAD. The inbound to RNO was late. When we got to LAS, that flight had also been overbooked. So, the IAD pax were out of luck. The airline flew us to BWI instead. My house is eight miles from IAD... And, I still had to go to IAD anyways after I got off from work. Seems they had room for my suitcase. But, not for me! It would be eleven years before I gave them another chance. This was a great video, as you showed how delays affect crewmembers. Speaking as a customer, you have my sympathies. At least you probably know more of what's going on than the customers. Or, is it perhaps the other way around?
@lisaconnally93882 жыл бұрын
The other way around definitely as F/A’s are given the same info as passengers and are going through the same hell , to go home , to work, to vacation as the passengers do!😌😉

Pilots found a loop hole I do not know if they still do it but lets say the plane needs to be fix and they cant go, so what they did was have the plane be pushed back door closed and move like 2 or 3 ft.. technically it was departed and they are on the clock.. that was in the old days I do not know if they do it now..
