How lucky to be in a warm place when this happened. We just had a flight cancel due to weather and I was grateful it canceled because I was very nervous about flying in bad weather and driving home!

Way to make the best of it! I was delayed for four days in January trying to fly back to Dallas from my parents’ in Syracuse and it definitely made the situation easier having someone to spend it with! I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that we understand when delays happen! Can’t wait to see your trip to Epcot! ❤️

Having just had a six hour delay in Seattle, due to weather elsewhere in the United States, and being stuck inside of a very inhospitable sitting area, I kept thinking about you flight attendants and where you might’ve been during this delay, and this video sealed it for me. You’re enjoying the comforts of a hotel room. So I hope you understand when we’re grouchy and tired when we were supposed to get in at 11:30 and we don’t end up getting in until 630 the next morning. I was up for 24 hours

Four hundred thousand dollars for a house that cost seventy thousand dollars to build. I guess the inflated rate of Florida real estate is a huge factor in a part of that cost? Add to that the over priced cost of permits and who knows what else? How much would the monthly mortgage cost be? Look at the delay this way the delay in Orlando is a great place to just hang out while the weather improves in the most of the rest of the country. Here in Arkansas we had three/four inches of sleet and snow. It was just great and so beautiful.

Nice that you were able to spend the day with Ale. Guess there are some perks when your flights are cancelled. Eric will love the cookies, if you don't eat them all first. I thought there was an age limit to become a FA. Reason I say that is my neighbor has a 58 year old aunt that just became a FA for a small regional airline but is trying to get on with a major airline...I think she is nuts 58 but she wants to travel. pilots have an age limit but flight attendants do not :) As long as you can pass training and are physically able to do the job you can be any age!

There was snow and ice in Tulsa on Valentine’s Day 2021 and in early Feb 2022. It was really cold and icy. I still had to work though.

That townhouse is called an upsidedown house, they usually do that so you get the view from your living space, rather than bedroom where you wouldn't really get to enjoy the view much.

Hey, at least you were trapped somewhere warm. lol The reason they put the living areas upstairs is so you can have a view. You don't need one as much when you're asleep. It's common in areas that have a view.

Back in 2007 I was supposed to fly from PDX to Dallas to Orlando when there was flooding. We circled for hours and refueled at another airport before landing in Dallas when I was supposed to be landing in Orlando. I managed to get myself on a 1 am flight On the way back my flight was delayed because the flight attendants needed a break so I got rerouted to another airline and had to sit in the airport for 6 hours. I got to fly first class for part of the trip and arrived home 90 minutes after my original flight would have landed because I had only one layover instead of 2 (I didn't fly out of PDX that was a layover)

Here in the UK we have been hit with 3 severe weather events, strong winds upto 100mph, so plenty of disruption here which affected my flight home from Spain. It's not often that work puts you in a position where you are forced to take a bit of a break, so its good to enjoy it when it does happen! That "Beep" bus (2:40) you and Ale drove by is actually more autonomous than Tesla's system because it doesn't require a driver. Bit of a nerdy difference, but Tesla's system is misrepresented sometimes

Great vlog as always! That is nuts! I can trade in my 600 Sq ft apt in Oslo, Norway for a huge house in MCO. If you ask me, that tells you more about the property market in Norway than in the U.S. Btw I am on disability as well, and I still can afford to keep my apt. I am greatfull and blessed. Trust me Julia, you will see ALOT more of that and other things that you can not imagine can happen to a plane, crew, airport or whatever. Lol! I have been flying ID since 1978… This was your first «Been there, done that» An old airline saying to close off here. « Always expect the unexpected» be safe!
