I didn't know Bobcat was 15 years old. He is strikingly fit. As you said his mane is glorious and has the original color. What a specimen. And Gabby...naughty indeed ,but as we see she still has natural instincts and the ability to follow through on them. An honor indeed to be a part of their pride!

Cats (of any species) can live around 25 years... (With the right attention, of course...) While in nature everything is more complex (the life of a male lion medially drops to 10 max 15 years, because plus older he gets and be more difficult for him drive out the coalitions of stranger males, so, if he is defeated, old, alone , wounded, obviously it would be extremely unlikely that he would survive (therefore they reach 25 years only in a protected place and with the right attention, everything is more complex in nature, but after-all this is true for lions as for humans...)

I just love Bobcat and Gabby. It’s amazing how fast Gabby caught that warthog. When she jumped on Bobcat later, it was almost like she was telling him, I got something you didn’t, lol.

Fantastic start with the Rhino sighting. Gabby going after that Warthog just serves as a reminder to everyone that she is still a wild animal, and she still has those hunting instincts, no messing with Gabby. Bobcat is amazing, the way he looks around to see what he's missed. Bobcat and Gabby are definitely my 2 favourites although I have a love for them all.

I don't know Gabby's early history, but she somehow has grown every bit into the lioness she was meant to become in the wild. Probably living longer. Definitely living better. But still with all instincts and skills intact. Tribute to you, Kev, and to all who keep these animals healthy and as wild as possible throughout their longer lifespans. Good job!

Two things Mr. Richardson. One is that Gabby being able to hunt and kill is testament to how well the KRF cares for them, they are truly free as they could possibly be given the circumstances. Two this is a reminder that they are first and foremost wild animals, obviously you respect that and we as viewers/members need to respect this as well. Thank you for posting. I got some tension when hearing that the wild Lion was nearby. It could be a catastrophe if he met up with Bobcat as they would fight for sure. Though Gabby would jump in to help him. And if any animal threatened Kevin, I'm sure his Lions would protect him.

@@karherineware3508 there is also still a 8 foot fence (with an electricity fence added) around the entire perimeter so they are safe and away from the wild lion. I use to believe it was all open where they walk but it isn't. The entire perimeter of his reserve is fenced.

Wow, Gabby and Bobcat are still so striking! Yes, the picturesque image of a male African lion usually does conjure Bobcat in my mind. I have been watching you and the lions since about 2006, Kevin when you had your show on TV. Gabby, Bobcat, Meg, and Amy have always been my favorites, and it's great to see them thriving! That warthog kill by Gabby was spectacular and it was a privilege to see it filmed. One day, my fiancé and I will make it to Africa for me to have my goal of seeing wild lions in their natural habitat...

I’m curious about the wild lion who hangs around the Sanctuary. It’s a good thing that your walking area is fenced in, Kevin. Perhaps that lion needs a tracking collar. Poor thing is all alone and seeking a pride to belong to. Loved seeing the white Rhino. They are so beautiful. I sure hope that wild lion doesn’t try to hunt the Rhino because the white Rhino are so rare. ❤

The way the line down her back is darker than the sides of her body shows how beautifully camouflaged she is in the tall grasses. So beautiful. I just adore cats. They are perfectly built for the function of hunting. Even domesticated cats and everything in between they capture my heart.

Gabby is an athlete. It's ingrained in their make up any cat in captivity can hunt if they have the opportunity to do so.. I like that they have an opportunity to hunt . She went from lying down to jumping on you Kevin like that.. Bobcat is beautiful and yes he is what I think of as an African male lion
