Man. Phase Plant. It's like "why bother" when it comes to any other modern semi modular synths. I even played with UVI Falcon for a moment. With all those insane features, it was near impossible to make kooky, gnarly patches like this. (I do have a fondness for all things Arturia, including Pigments. But that's such a different vibe and plays well with Phase Plant)

Very powerful. I started playing with snap heap the other day to create a break down patch to FSU over 8bars. I think im going to have to revisit it.

Haha, this is crazy! I can't think of any other way of doing that sort of thing with so much ease. Astonishing. It kind of reminds me of the Turing Machine rack module, in that it sounds kind of random but you can make it "lock in" to short repeating patterns now and then.

Nice one brother, keep ‘em coming 🤘 If possible, would like to see a highlight for your mouse cursor to help follow where your focused on within Phase Plant.

Dash, I use curves in Eurorack too with the Westlicht Performer. It’s not as deep as Phase Plant but still fun as hell especially with cross-modulation of oscillators or even FM/PM sounds. Awesome tutorial bro, thanks!

Excellent, cool stuff. I think you should use theses ideas and explore sounds in other genres too. Leads, bases, etc.

Thanks for this. You clearly know this instrument well. My only issue with it is that it quickly maxes out my M1 MacBook while other instruments aren't so power hungry (such as Phase Plant).
@DashGlitch10 ай бұрын
Are you using lots of unison? on my old system I had issues with lots of unison and CPU, so I'd use the global as much as possible, and also bounce out a lot of clips
@weaponofvoice10 ай бұрын
@@DashGlitchthanks yes. I remove unison. Also reducing polyphony #

Good stuff Dash. I'm still locked out of my Discord at the mo, but I've been keeping up with the videos as much as possible. I think phaseplant has knocked vital off the top spot now.

You're having way too much fun with this 😄 I think you can use another Remap to avoid playing back very short sequences which sound rather odd.
@DashGlitch2 жыл бұрын
You can use the existing remap and change them to non linear steps for this

You can do this in Bitwig with step mod and modulate the length of the steps, you can't have a loop region but the idea is to have a different pattern and have some kind of control to modulate that pattern change or even make it automatic.

Alternatively, could you use one macro knob, one remap linked to the start and end point so you always get the 4/16ths of the curve and keep things a bit tighter with the syncing?
@DashGlitch2 жыл бұрын
Can do, I kinda like being able to change the loop size for polymetric patterns
