It is not surprising that the University of Leicester tried to steal her find from her and take credit for it. This goes on all the time where graduate teaching assistants do the research and legwork and their professors take the credit.

Just seen the film. Philippa Langley is a star. Shame on Leicester University
@thethe62322 жыл бұрын
Yes, absolutely and the movie was accurate about how she was treated by the city Council and the University. They behaved atrociously towards her. She did all the research , she raised the money to fund the dig and told them where to find him. They couldn’t even give her any mention.

Same here, i just watched the movie & the way they treated her was disgusting! Those Headline Morons at the University were just dispicable!! I AGREE WITH HER BOYS - PHILLIPA LANGLEY " THE KING FINDER "

Yep!! And then the website have the audacity to say that the film was inaccurate in how they treated Philippa. Absolutely disgraceful. Even after they were entirely exposed they still think they did nothing wrong!!

On bended knee to Philippa Langley, because she was the Genesis, and Primum mobile of this idea to find King Richard III, and she is the one who drove it along from the very beginning. Without her, there would never have been the discovery of King Richard III. Philippa Langley is truly "The King Finder" for all of the world to appreciate, and respect. Doctor George Whitehead

Absolutely fantastic film! Philippa is amazing. I'm so glad she fought for it. This film shows how women are treated in academia every day, not taken seriously, intuition ignored and all credit taken from them by men. It has been a plight throughout history. Well I say, listen to your intuition! And maybe you'll be a king finder yet! Leicester Uni did not come off well in this.

The resistance to the determination of Philippa Langley and her team of researchers to bring to light the true story of "the princes in the tower" continues to baffle me. Apparently to many the combination of St. Thomas More, William Shakespeare, and Sir Laurence Olivier yelling for a horse far outweighs the importance of correcting the historical record about this brief but significant period of English history. Bravo to Langley and her associates for their perseverance. The new book on "The Princes in the Tower" presents a wealth of new research on the subject.

I saw it too. I think Phillippa's experience and sense of history is remarkable. Marvellous film that highlights institutional and academic prejudice towards the independent scholar. Very moving film and uplifting. Leicester Uni's behaviour was totally unnecessary. Their later good work on Richard's bones trashed by hubris. Stimulating and inspiring.

When i heard that the Body of King Richard 3 was found I was stunned like many people right across the globe,The lost king, But we should be very thankful to the one person who never gave up who stood up against the back stabbers who where only really into what they could get out of the find. The University Should also be respectful to Mrs Philippa Langley MBE for bringing home the Rightful King and restoring to his people and to the world. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II also respected and knew this was the correct thing to do she approved the offical seal to decorate the former king of england. Congradulations Mrs Philippa Langley MBE for never giving up God Bless u. Knights Commander.
