Why Should I give up Christmas? I like celebrating the birth of Jesus. Kel argued that you don't celebrate the birth of a dead man, but I could reply, says who? Until the 1800s everyone celebrated the birth of this one dead man, but hardly anyone ever celebrated the birth of a living one unless they were royalty. The birth of Jesus may not have been that important to the earliest Christians, but it has never been more important than now, since more and more people are actually straight up denying Jesus' birthday and even his birth! I believe in a human Jesus who was actually born on a day that used to, at some point, roughly translate to what we now know as December 25th. It was probably some time in the late fall or early spring.

2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 kjv "everlasting" Isaiah 10:16-17 and I suggest you read all of Isaiah, the book is all about the end times. I do believe him when scripture says "for ever and ever" this is eternity and Matthew 13:37-43 kjv "cast into the furnace of fire" I believe this is called the second death Rev 20:14 kjv. I agree...that would be a good video. What happens when we throw something in fire?. It gets burned up never to return or be restored. It's "everlasting" destruction. That's what everlasting means. The destruction will be complete never to return. The idea of a sadistic God tormenting souls in Hellfire is more Greek mythology being conflated with the Bible. The RC Church loved that doctrine to keep the poor peasants in line and keep the coffers filled. We have a rough time thinking the way they thought 2000 years ago. We don't know the customs. We don't understand the mindset and how they viewed the world. We tend to place it into the context of our world and how we perceive things with our 21st c. Western worldview. We tend to think linearly while the ancient Hebrew mind was more circular in its thinking (for lack of a better way to put it). John is especially good for speaking of the future as if it were the past. This kind of language really confounds the modern linear-thinking mind and has caused much confusion and misunderstanding.

There's a much more serious problem with Christmas: The two virgin birth narratives, in Matthew and Luke, and their genealogies are incompatible i.e impossible to harmonize. According to Luke's Gospel, Psalm 2:7 would be applied to Christ's birth narrative, but according to Acts 13:33 (same author), the same Psalm applies to Christ's ascension. It can't be both.

Correction : A Biblical Unitarian! Not a Unitarian. Difference? There are many so called Unitarian denominations out there that are liberal and doesn't uphold the authority of the Bible. Biblical Unitarians on the other hand uphold the authority of the Bible and only rely on the Bible. Jesus was born as a baby, while Christ Jesus wasn't born until his baptism at the Jordan river. That's where Jesus became the Christ. Christians often say Christ is born through virgin birth but that's not Christ. That's a baby who would become the Christ after his baptism, right before his ministry starts.

If Jesus really was resurrected, then the Jesus who is alive today is the same man who was born to Mary and who died and was dead. God didn't create a new Jesus to replace the old one. @@TheTrinityDelusion I'm only referring to what I mentioned in my comment regarding Christmas, It's pagan and it's never being Christian that's the general gist of what you've said, The witnesses have pretty much gone into every aspect of the paganess of Christmas, Easter and other holidays around the world in great detail as well as the cross and trinity doctrine, and pretty much everything has been covered at some point over the last 146 years...but I do enjoy listening to your trinity counter arguments.

Christ is born everytime a believer is born of the spirit after being begotten of the fathers word. The miracle birth is the NEW birth. Not a physical birth. John the Baptist was the first of many firstborn sons. Firstfruits of the Spirit.

@@gustav1235 You are resurrected at your new birth. Youve already been regenerated IN THIS LIFE. I John 3:9-10. Flesh and blood cannot enter the kingdom and profits nothing. Thats why when a believer physically dies, they are "caught up" or "raptured" to meet the LORD in the air. Because they have already been made alive. The NT is about resurrected new life, new birth, in this life. The 1st resurrection. Thus the 2nd death, physical death, has no power over them. Most people don't understand the NT because they listen to false teachers and have been brainwashed long before they attempt to read the bible in context for themselves.

You are only correct in thinking that we have to walk in the spirit now (in our mortal frame). If you walk in the spirit now, then you will attain to the physical spirit nature (God nature) in the resurrection and judgement seat.

@@gustav1235 I john 3:9-10 refutes your understanding. We attain to perfection in this life. Without spout or wrinkle BEFORE we physically die. Thats the point of being regenerated. We put on immortality during this life when we put on christ or put on the new man. Meaning when we are raised into new life by the new birth. Most people think they are born again the day they believe the word of God to be true. This is incorrect. We are "being saved: as Paul said on our journey to perfection. No one but the father knows when a person is fully regenerated. Its like the wind that comes and goes without knowing from where it comes. As Jesus explained to Nicodemus in the night time conversation they had. And as in the epistles when the bekievers are asked if they had received the power since they believed. They had no idea what Paul was referring. Because believing is not the new birth expierence. We are glorified at physical death, we are regenerated, resurrected into incorruption in this life. If ye be dead in the anointed then you are a new creation. A new man. I.e. when you finally crucify your old man, 1st Adam, on your own cross, then you rise a new creation. Death your carnal flesh, your own will. Jesus was resurrected in the garden of gasthemene. Not on a literal cross. It was unfortunately part of the story that was allegory that has deceived most people. Flesh profits nothing. And no one can pay your sin debt. If so that person would still be dead. Thats the price. DEATH. Not 3 days of death. The kingdom is like a treasure hidden in field. Most never find it. Its hidden within scripture for those who dig and study to find it.
